Jumping Jehoshaphat! It's been a month shy of being a year of not updating. I don't know why I'm choosing to update now, I just got a wild hair up my ass to, and also the fact I'm in bed sick and bored helps too.
Well this past year has been crazy, I've accomplished a lot of things, and lost a lot of things, but I'm still keeping on 😬.

*Reece's POV*
I stared out the passenger side window as Kelsey and I were driving through the flat country of Nebraska headed to another rodeo.
It has been 8 months since the NFR in Vegas. We still rodeod and aimed to make our dreams come true once again, but a lot of things changed for us in the year of 2016.
Kelsey and John were still together, I've never seen a couple as in love as they are, it's kinda depressing tbh. He calls her every night and they discuss their days and the rodeos they're entered in, oh lord help me when they're up in the same rodeo, I'll maybe see her 10 minutes the whole weekend and then she'll be off with John going out on a date or rocking the trailer, if you know what I mean.
Me and Case tried to be official and go steady but we were about two months into it when we both discovered it couldn't work. He was still too wild and had more growing up to do, and I was, am, so focused on my horse and the runs we make that I don't have time or money to goof off and be a heathen.
I'll admit it, it did hurt my heart. Everything is Vegas was so nice, seeing him everyday, him trying to get my attention, him wanting to be better in the name of a relationship... Yeah that was short lived. He was in it for the end for the first month, it was great, but in the second month he just came unglued and partied, and partied, and partied for all the time he missed in the first month of our relationship.
So here I was. Missing someone who didn't miss me, listening to Kelsey gush to John how much she misses him.
We we were coming from a rodeo in Maryland and we're headed to Cody, WY. With good ol Ace and Frosty, along with our young guns, Kash and Levi. Who were 4 each.
"Turn this shit up" I said when Kelsey hung up and I heard Kevin Gates come on the radio.
She reached forward and cranked the radio up, the ole Ram was bumping to some Really Really for sure.
*6 hours later*
We had drive for a good while at night so when we finally reached Cody we settled the horses in their stalls then went in the trailer for a nap since our performance wasn't until night, and it was 11 am.
We got a good 5 hour nap, but finally had to wake up at 4 to get everything done in time for the perf* at 7:30.
**perf is short for performance
"JOHN IS HERE" Kelsey squealed as she saw John and Case's rig pull up and park next to us.
"Oh goody" I said only to myself as I sat un moving on the couch in the trailer as she jumped up and ran out the door
I say there for a while till Case's holy face showed up in the door smiling.
"Well if it isn't Miss World Champion herself!"
"Hello Case. How's it going?" I asked forcing a smile.
"Not bad, not good, so I guess I'm just making it" he said climbing into the trailer and sitting next to me on the couch
"Well I'm glad to see you're still in one piece, I wasn't sure if you still would after I watch you leave with all those strippers in Tulsa." I said looking him dead in the eye.
"Well.. That was a very interesting night, but here I am, in one piece and still as cool as ever" he said looking me up and down.
That look was always my weakness. I could've ripped his clothes off right there, I just wanted him to hold me again.
"Yeah well that last part is debatable." I said forcing myself to ignore it.
"How've you been darlin? Stirring up trouble?"
Oh god there's the darlin. Someone strike me down now.
"Me stir up trouble? Yeah you know that's not how I roll. I've been good. Just grinding and making a dollar"
"How about your guy "buds" he said making quotation marks around buds.
"Well that's none of your beeswax, but If you must know I've had a few.. By the way Kane Yates is SUPER blessed" I said fanning myself with my hand.
I could see he anger rise inside of him as his whole body tensed.
"What you're allowed to have hoes but not me? Oh boo boo this isn't how this works. You can't have me all to yourself, while you have her, her, her, her, and oh yeah, her." I said getting up to walk to the bathroom to change
"But Reece I miss you. I miss us. So damn much. I'll change I promi-" he started but I cut him off
"Stop making promises you can't keep! I'm so tired of hearing the same line from you about how you're really gonna change for me! Because I get my hopes up and end up looking like a fool when you don't. I don't put myself out there emotionally to people Case, but you I did and look where it got me. With a heartache and a tear rolling down my face." I stated as a single tear fled my eye, I wasn't sure if it was from anger or sadness. Still undecided
"I'm so sorry Reece. I never meant to hurt you, I thought I was ready to grow up, but I wasn't-"
"No shit"
"But I am now. They say you never know what you have till it's gone, and you're gone and I miss what I had" he said in a soft sad tone.
"I can't deal with this right now Case, I have to go saddle Ace and worry about my run" I said slipping on my button up shirt
"Oh gosh there it is! What else is new? No one will be as important to you as your rodeo career or your horses, and that's pretty messed up" he said raising his voice at me which only angered me more
"At least I know what the hell I want! I'm not going around trying to get a buzz like some dumb college broad!" I said slamming the trailer door after I left, and stormed off to get Ace
