I jumped from my bed now wide awake. Holy shit, today is the star of the NFR.
It really hit me now how lucky and blessed I am to make here. Let alone be in the top 5!!!
I heard a knock at the door so I quickly stumbled over to it,
"REECE!" My mom shrieked.
"Mama!!" I yelled back engulfing her in a hug
"Dad, Thom, Aunt Sherri, Uncle Bill, Aunt Mavis, Nana! Y'all are all here. Wow!" I said hugging each of them.
"How've you been dear?" My Nana asked me.
"Great. Great. Very nervous."
"Don't be you have this!" Aunt Sherri said smiling
"Thank you. And thanks for being here"
"No problem! Wouldn't miss it for the world!" Aunt Mavis said.
"How've you been Thom?" I asked referring to my younger brother. He just turned 14.
"Good. Ready to see my sis kick ass-"
"THOMAS!" My mother corrected him.
"I mean kick butt" he said looking at my mom apologetically. She just looked at him giving him the evil eye.
"Where's Kelsey?" My dad asked.
"She's still asleep. I don't know how she hasn't woken up. She's usually first up." I said them walked over to her and shook her.
"What?!" She asked grouchy.
"Time to get up. My family is here. Yours should be fairly soon." I said.
She heard those words and jumped out of bed.
"That means it's the first round tonight!!" She exclaimed wide eyed.
"Yes. I've already been through this" I said laughing a bit.
She said hello to my family and soon hers made it here. She talked with them a bit till it was time for us to get ready for the buckle ceremony.
(YES. I know it's usually the night before, but tbh I forgot it in the last chapter so it'll be in the morning and first round that night. So yeah. Bare with me)
We walked to our closet and got out our dresses we were going to wear to the ceremony. We put them on, did our makeup and hair and put our shoes on and left.
Our family would meet us there. It starts at 11 and we were leaving our hotel at 10:30. Running a lil late. We hurried out of the room and to the elevator.
"Wait!" Someone yelled. So being the nice person I am, I held the door for them.
"Are you following us?!" Kelsey asked laughing a little.
"No. I guess we got put on the same floor." Case said.
"Aren't we so lucky" I said sarcastically.
"What's your problem with us anyway?" John asked.
"I think y'all are too cocky for your own good. Talented? Yes. Rude? Yes." I said looking at him in the eyes.
"Whatever. You two look beautiful by the way!" Case said smiling at me, "how's that for being rude?"
"Whatever" I said laughing a bit.
"Are y'all gonna watch us tonight?" John asked.
How long is this elevator ride?!
"I dont know. Maybe. Are y'all gonna watch us?" Kelsey asked.
