"I'll see you soon, Willow!" I yelled as I walked down the stairs.

"Uh, Somer? I just wanted to ask, did Oakley tell you?" Hannah asked, walking down the few steps I had taken to stand in front of me.

"Tell me what?"

"That Willow's surgery is scheduled for next Saturday. It might be a while before you guys can hang out again after that. I wasn't sure if Oakley had told you, might have slipped his mind or something, but I just thought it was better to let you know in case he hadn't."

"Yeah no, he...he didn't tell me. Must have slipped his mind, yeah." I chuckled, "Uh, am I going to be allowed to see her when she's in the hospital? Is Oakley going to be with you that day too? Can I wait with you guys or-"

"Somer, we'll be fine," she chuckled before she went to give me a hug. I felt a strange mix of sadness and fear. "We'll let you know if something happens. I just thought it was a good idea to tell you. Willow will be fine, huh Willow?"

Hannah had let go of me and turned to look back at Willow. Willow stood at the top of the stairs, her hair tied in the little braids I had done for her. She smiled at me before she said, "I'll be fine. After the surgery, no more seizures for me!"

"Keep me informed then. I'll see you after your surgery. Fight for me!" I smiled at her.

"I will!"

Walking away from them, I felt the need to cry. I knew that Willow was getting surgery but I didn't think it was this close. As soon as I was out of their way of seeing me, I crouched down behind a building. No one was walking by and it was hidden from cars.

I burst into tears as the 'what ifs' danced around in my head, taunting me.

As I grabbed my brush from Sally's aunt's dresser, I paused to look at my phone. Oakley hadn't texted me the whole weekend. It wasn't like we texted much on the weekends, mainly because we spent them together, but it wasn't like him not to text me at all.

I at least expected him to text me about his date. Which, for some reason, had my stomach turning at the thought of hearing about it. Maybe it was just the alcohol that I had sneakily drunk with Sally and Sasha.

I couldn't even remember last night.

"Hey, ready?"

"Huh? Yeah," I said.

Following Sally out of the room, I watched as Sasha eyed Sally. What had happened? I decided to ignore it, Sally and Sasha always angered each other. They were cousins but acted like siblings.

"I'll see you soon, Sasha," I said into her shoulder.

"You too," she replied, hugging me back.

As we got in the car, Sally stayed silent. Did she do something bad last night? I checked my phone again but there was nothing. Sighing, I looked outside and leaned my head back on the headrest.
