Liberation.

All teens need is a little liberation from society.

The chokehold that society has on teens to choose something they don't like is repulsing.

But Oakley won't listen to society.

And he'll gladly cover up Somer's ears when society gets to her.

They'll make sure that she never has to deal with the harsh words society whispers in her ears.

And in turn,

Somer will gladly overwrite his past.

She'll make sure that his pain and loss are rewritten by her smiles and reassurance that she'll always be there.

Oakley's knowledgeable self will teach Somer the ropes of a life she never thought to indulge in.

Somer's bright self will teach Oakley that not everyone is out to hurt them.
