"So are you going to Heathers next weekend?" Alice asks as she and Fp are laying in bed.
"Yes jugs in it. I'm excited to see him sing. God I can't imagine his singing!" Fp chuckles to him self.
"Maybe we could sit together? I mean it would only be sitting since we are in public but we were thinking of telling the kids anyways-"
"Alice, Gladys is coming into town to see Jug and stay for a bit."
"So....?" Alice asks confused about what that means for them.
"It means that we are going to be giving our marriage a second chance. I need to do this for my kids. If they can have a chance at having a normal family I want to try."
"We could be a normal family me and you." She says and he starts to laugh.
"Alice please, me and you never end up working, I love you Alice but we will never work." Alices face crumbles as she hears what he is saying about them.
"You really think we would never work?" Alice says sitting up off his chest to look him in the eyes.
"Alice who are we kidding the only reason this between up started was because we were two broken people, you found out about Hal and I was lonely that's it."
Alice looks away from him and started to collect her clothes.
"I'm gonna go now. I'll see you around Fp." Alice says holding in her tears.
She makes her way to her car and the tears start to fall from her eyes. she looks in her mirror and sees the smidges mascara.
She starts to wipe it away making a promise to never fall back in bed with Fp, that this was that time he would have her heart to break.

It's been a few weeks now, Alice has met someone really nice. His name is Eric. She has had a really good time with him but every time she starts thinking about their relationship she immediately goes to Fp.
Winding how he's doing, if Gladys and him are working out. She hates that she's thinking about him though.
"Are you almost ready?" Eric asks Alice as he comes into her room seeing her staring at her closet. She was suppose to be getting ready to go to the musical.
"Almost just need an outfit."
"You should go with this one," he hands her a snake skin blouse. She blouse she wore to see Fp for the first time in 20 years.
"No."
"Why no-"
"I said no!" Alice yells.
"I'll meet you downstairs just go." She says rushing him out.

As they finally make it to the school they get their assigned seat tickets and Alice feels like puking when she sees who they are sitting beside.
"Alice good to see you!" Gladys says.
"Yeah you too" Alice says- she doesn't mean it of course.
"Fp." Alice says as she passes them.
"Alice. Who's this?"
"Oh Eric my- my boyfriend." Alice says.
"What?" Fp asks shocked she moved on so fast.
"Hi." Eric says sticking his hand out which Fp ignores.
"Alice could she talk-" Fp says.
"No sorry the shows about to start." Alice says not taking another look at him.

When intermission happens Alice excuses her self to go to the washroom. Fp sees this as an opportunity to talk with her so he follows her to the bathroom.
"Fp? What the hell are you doing in here it's the women's room?" Alice says annoyed.
"What the hell is that Alice?"
"What?"
"Eric? Really bringing him to the musical knowing you would see me."
"What about Gladys you knew I would be here so why bring her."
"That's different-"
"How how's that different?!"
"Alice just please let me explain why I said-"
"Fp I'm done talking about what happened. When we started up our romance I thought this was going to be the time, the time where we finally worked, that we would spend the rest of our lives together. So all the pain and and drama, who cared because I had you. You left me. You chose Gladys. I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke."
"Alice I'm sorry."
"Me too. Now excuse me I need to go." Alice says walking out of the washroom leaving Fp alone.
He pushed her away. And now he has to pay the price of his choices.
