A broken heart. You can't control when or how it happens all you can control is how to deal with it. Some people may say Alice Smith has a broken heart.
"Hey Alice your at school today?" Fred said shocked to see his sick friend at school.
Alice was clutching onto FPS arm while they walk the halls
"Yeah the doctor said I could today so I can catch up on work." Alice replies
"Have they found you a heart?" Fred asks.
Alice needs a new heart to survive. They have been waiting for a transplant. No one ever though she would make it this long, except Fp. He has loved her since grade 7 and has always been by her side.
"Nope no heart." Alice says not really wanting to talk about that.

She is now at home with Fp when she tries to walk around the living room to get the tv remote so they can watch a movie but when she moves to walk she falls down to the ground.
"Alice!" Fp says rushing to her side to give her a hand.
"I'm fine all good." She says getting up.
"Ok." He says hesitantly. He reaches for his phone to contact her mum to say that she fell.

While they are watching Alice starts to get a pounding head ache and her chest starts to hurt.
"Ahh Fp." Alice says as she grabs onto his hand.
Fp instantly rushes to go and get the keys to the car but when he gets back Alice she isn't moving he rushed to her and scooped her in his arms and raced to the hospital, and called her mom.

"Fp?" Alice says slowly waking up, the medication the doctor gave her working.
"I'll go get the doctor" her mum says.
"What happened?" She says
"You died in my arms al you were dead." He says moving to hold her.
She hugs him back and feels her shirt getting wet.
"It's ok Fp. I'm ok, I will be ok." Alice says trying to reassure him.
They sit together till he doctor comes in to the room.
"So, Alice we looked over the test scores from you labs and it's not good, if you don't get a heart by the end of the week you uh..."
"Will die." Alice said
"Yes. I'm so sorry but you are at the top of the transplant list so fingers crossed that we will be able to get a heart." The doctor said and continued to talk about what will happen over the next week.
But all Alice could do was simply stare at the wall in ground if her while squeezing FPS hand. She was going to die. And there was one think she had to do before she did.

The week went by so fast. But Alice was getting worse. She only had 2 days left and was praying for an act of god to occur in her favour. Fp was with her everyday and they would just sit and cuddle do a little homework, but by day 5 Alice could barely sit up. She was in the stages of dying.
Fp walked into her room one day and Alice asked her mom to leave because she needed to tell Fp something.
"Hey baby." He says kissing her lips she looked so small in the bed.
"Hey. I uh need to talk to you." Alice said bitting at her lip.
"What's up?" He questions sitting down on the bed.
"If/when I die I need you to promise me something." She said seriously.
"Sure What is it."
"D-don't stay stuck on me. Meet new people and are others. Have a family buy a house and a dog. Have babies." Alice said staring to tear up. She never thought that she would be telling Fp to have a family that didn't include her.
"Alice... I'm never going to get over you. You are the love of my life. And will be forever because you are not dying!" He says starting to cry. He can't loose he only person that's been there for him and that he's loved.
"Yes you can. And lets face it I'm dying. There's no heart for me."
"I'm only having a family with you that's it." Fp says firm taking her hand as he wipes his tear.
"Just because I can't live my life doesn't mean you shouldn't too." Alice says bringing her hand to his face and stroking it.
"No I can't. I can't lose you." Fp says nearing down to the floor and putting his head on the bed.
"You never will baby. I'll always be able to see you and protect you. You just won't see me." She says crying herself at this point. She was saying goodbye.

It's now the last day. The doctor just got of the phone with the transplant team. They found a heart for Alice. She is going to live. She makes her way to the room and sees it filled with nurses and a worried Fp and Suzan. (Alice's mom)
"What's going on!" The doctor says to the nurses
"She couldn't breath we needed to intubate her." One replies
"Ok well get her prepped for surgery." The doctor says.
"What why?!" Suzan says scared about her baby girl.
"We found Alice a heart. She going to live." She says smiling.

It's been 8 hours since Alice went into surgery.
"What if she doesn't live what if-." FPS cut off by a hand on his leg.
"She still in surgery right." Fp nods
"Which means she is still alive she will make it out al is strong." She says and hugs Fp.

They finally see the doctor come out and she looks disappointed shocked and sad.
"How is she." Fp says staining up.
"We lost her. We needed to resuscitate but she survived she is in the ICU now recovering. She is going to be just fine-?" She is cut off by Fp hugging her.
"Thank you." He says
"You welcome Fp." She says soothing the boy.

They finally wait for Alice to wake up and she slowly opens her eyes.
"Al?"
"Fp. I'm a alive." She says shocked by waking up.
"Your Alice baby." He says kissing her.
"It's a miracle." Says her mom.
"No; an act of god." Alice says smiling up.
