Alice was never good at sports. She couldn't catch she could throw but horrible aiming. So when she returned from the farm and her friend Fp barges into her room and starts sizing her for sport jerseys she was really confused.

"What are you doing?" She asks as Fp starts holding up the shirt I front of her and sizing her body.

"Try this on." Fp says and tosses her the shirt.

"Why?" She asks again

"Because every year we have a baseball game and this year Fred isn't here to play so we need you." Fp says staring her right in the eyes.

"Ok fine." She says and turns around to try the jersey.

"Ooh you look good." Fp says as he sees her in the shirt.

"Thanks." Alice says trying to not let him see her blush.

" ok now pants."

"Why do I need pants?"

"Because when you slide to a base or to catch the ball you don't want you nice pants dirty."

"When did I saw I was going to be sliding."

"Just try these on." He says rolling his eyes at her.

It's one week till the big game and every morning Alice is out in the field with Fp learning how to catch and throw and most importantly hit the ball.

"Ahh! You need to warn me when you throw!" Alice says and Fp can't help but laugh.

"Right because eye contact and motioning it with you isn't enough." He says and she rolls her eyes.

"Al the team isn't going to warn you when they throw he ball." He says again moving toward her.

"Yeah well I don't want to get hit." She says

"You won't I will protect you I'll make sure every time you are on the field I'm right there too." He says hugging her.

"Fine."

"Just relax  before the game. and remember it's just you and me playing catch." He says when he drops her home.

"Ok."

It's now the Morning of the game and Alice is trying to figure out how to relax.

She tried a bath, going for a walk, reading, and nothing worked.

"So she went youth what her and Fp would always do in high school... get drunk.

By the time Fp picks her up she is wasted.

"Al! Come on we have to go." Fp says as he let himself in.

"Fp, oh your here! Why?" She asks as she tries not to fall.

"Al look at my hand and follow my finger."

"Ok." She looks at his finger but doesn't follow it.

"Great your drunk."

"Why why today?"

"You told me to relax, so I did." She says rolling her eyes.

"Oh my god. Get dressed and then I'm dunking you in coffee." He says throwing her jersey at her.

"Okay okay." She says and starts to undress in front of him.

"No not here in the bathroom." He says pulling her into it.

They finally make it to the field and Fp is praying that Alice can just sit on the bench as an extra but it turns out one of the players couldn't come.

"Ok Alice so you are in right field ok?" He says

"Yes Jones!" She says laughing and walking to the spot

"Al uhh it's the other way." He says rubbing the back of his neck.

And he went into centre field beside her.

They were in the bottom of the 9th inning and every time Alice would go to bat she would strike out and now the other team was batting and they needed to strike one more person out to win.

"Ok al so if the ball comes to you catch it ok?" Fp says speaking really slow.

"Yes I know Fp." She says as if his question was ridiculous.

"Right field!" Someone yells.

"Alice that's you."

She looks at him with her glove in the air.

"I know." She says and before she knows the balls in her glove.

"Al!"

"I caught it!" She screams

"Yes you did." Fp says

"Ahh I'm awesome!" She says moving to hug Fp.

They are now walking to the car and Alice starts to talk.

"Do you think Fred would be proud?" She asks leaning into him.

"Very." He says putting his arm around her.

She makes eye contact with him and he turns to face her.

"Kiss me." She says looking right at him.

"What?"

"Kiss me." She says and he puts his hands around her waist and she puts her on his neck.

He steps closer to her and then finally kisses her.

"I love you Fp." She says

"I love you too."
