It's been 2 months since Hal was arrested. 2 months since polly moved away and hasn't wanted anything to do with her. She only had Betty left and even their relationship was frayed, so much that Betty hasn't even spoken really to Alice in weeks. She has been staying with Veronica.
And that's how Alice found herself alone on Christmas Eve, just her a bottle of wine and tears lots and lots of tears.
She was hoping to have a nice Christmas with Betty but she came home and informed Alice that she was spending the holidays with Veronica's family with Jughead and Archie too.
"Ok I'm gone." Betty says and didn't even come into the kitchen to see Alice she just left and made sure to slam the door.
Alice sat in the living room thinking of all the people she has lost well actually pushed away. But someone that came to her mind right away was the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with a long time ago, the man she had a baby with, the man who she has been in love with since she was 15.

"Hey mr Jones what are you doing here?" Eggy asks seeing him walk through the lodges house.
"Oh I'm just here to bring somethings Jug left at home. I thought you were going to be with your mom?"
"Umm no she's at home. We aren't in the best of places relationship wise." Betty says looking away.
"Ok well could you give these to Jug?"
"Yes of course bye."
Fp decided to make his way over to the now Smith house going over to talk with Alice. Something just doesn't feel right about Betty and Alice not talking.

He reaches the house and has been knocking for about 5 minutes and no one is answering.
"Alice? Are you ok?" He asks walking into the house.
"What are you doing here." Alice says and Fp can tell her in drunk by the redness on her eyes and the stumbling of walking and words.
"Well I just wanted to make sure you are having a good Christmas."
"Why? You've never cared about me before. Not when we had that amazing night together and then the next day you completely shut me out. So leave me alone just like all the others."
"No Alice. I'm not leaving." Alice starts to push him toward the door and then closes it on him and locks it sliding down on her back and Fp the same but sitting there mulling over everything she just said and how it was true.
"Alice open the door! I'm not leaving. Not anymore. I'm here for you just like I know your here for me too."
"You don't understand!" Alice opens the door quickly startling him a bit.
"You don't get to say that you will always be there for me! Because every time I have needed you! You are no where to be seen. But every time you need me I am always there! Through everything! When you started drinking, I brought you home. When Gladys left I was there. In high school every time you would just hump and dump me my heart would break because I am in love with you and I have been for a long time but you don't seem to want me. Just like everyone else in my life."
"I do Alice! I do want you." He says trying to get it through her head but she has her mind set.
"No no your not. It's Christmas go be with Jughead just let me no alone." She says and Fp sees the tears in her eyes as hey slowly start to fall onto her red cheeks.
He doesn't say anything just brings her into a hug and she folds herself into him and burries her head into his neck.

Alice woke up a few hours later to some noise. She gets up and sees some water and advil for her little headache.
"What are you doing?" Alice asks coming to see Fp going through the coat closet seeing him bring out a big winter coat for her and snow pants.
"Where are your winter boots?" He asks still in the closet.
"There in the basement. Why do I need boots?"
"I'll go get them." Fp walks past her but she grabs him by the arm.
"Why do I need boots?"
"It's a surprise not go get dressed in some tights and a sweater and the feet your snow pants on and coat."
"Ok fine."
Fp comes back upstairs and sees her all dressed.
"Here step." Fp moves to put her shoes on her knowing it's hard to put them on in all the winter gear.
"Where are we going?" Alice says wrapping her scarf around her and putting her gloves on watching Fp get dressed up too.
"It's. A . Surprise." He then drags her out of the house and they make their way to the truck.

"Ok we're here." Fp says looking at the giant smile on Alices face.
"Fp we can't go tobogganing it's to late at night."
"No it's not come on. You love doing this so let's gooo." Fp says dragging her out and then getting the toboggan.

"Ok so you go sit fist and then I'll sit behind you." Fp says and Alice sits down pulling herself forward. And then feels Fp wrap his arms around her waist.
"Ok and go." Fp says pushing them down the giant hill.
"Ahh!" Alice says smiling as she feels the cool air flow through her hair. And Fp is just starting at her missing her smile thinking it's been a very long time since he has seen her this happy and he's glad he is the reason.
"Fp! Help we have to turn!" Alice says laughing.
"Ok ok hold on." They turn the toboggan and Alice falls off taking Fp too.
Both of them lying in the snow laughing and looking into each other's eyes.

"Thank you!" Alice says as they are sitting in her living room drinking hot chocolate.
"Anytime. I love seeing you smile it's been a very long time."
They stare into each other's eyes and they hear the roaring fireplace.
"Alice." Fp says
"Yeah?" He stays quiet for a bit.
"I love you." Fp says to Alice looking into her ocean blue eyes.
"I-"
"You don't have to say anything but. Spending this half day with you was amazing and I want everyday like this to be like this. I'm done pushing down my feelings your it for me. Like you said the past 25 years have been weird and I miss you. So I hope you miss me too but I understand if you don't."
"I love you too and miss you. I don't think I ever got over you. Your my guy." Alice says and Fp moves to finally connect their lips. Alice wraps her arms around his neck and Fp kisses her back as he wraps her in his arms.
"Merry Christmas Al. You will never be alone as long as I am alive."
"Merry Christmas jonesy."

Where I live it's still Christmas Eve but when you read this is could already be Christmas where you are and even if it's not I hope you have a great Christmas/whatever holiday you celebrate or just an amazing winter break.
