(Alice is not with Hal and she is raising Charles on her own with out Fp knowing. They broke up senior year of high school. And Alice found out about Charles after graduation.)
It's the most exciting day of his life. They day her soulmate gets married to another women. And of course he invites her and her son; Well their son but he doesn't know.
She gets to sit and watch as the love of her life promises himself to another women because they were two stupid teenagers who decided to break up.
While he was getting back in the dating world she was left all alone her best friend was that boy who broke her heart.

It was now the day of the wedding and Alice woke up to Charles crying and started to cry herself, she will never get to raise him with Fp because she will never be good enough. Every time she tried to tell him he would blow her off for someone else.
For Fp shockingly it was the same that morning with tears, he loved Gladys but he was in love with Alice alienate has been and will always regret their dedication to break up but he is to scared to admire his feelings to her.
While he was at the store getting some thread he saw Alice walking the aisles of the store with her cart with a baby in the front. He was confused because that is the first time he has ever seen her with him and decides to walk over to her.
"Hey Alice."
"Oh, Fp hi." She says only making eye contact for a second.
"So... who's this guy?" Fp asks playing the with almost newborn.
"Charles his name is Charles." Alice says smiling as her son is gripping FPS finger and watching at how Fp is so gentle with him. She almost blurts out that he is his but then stops herself.
"How old?" He asks again taking her out of the sweet moment.
"Umm 2 months." She replies again
"You and cooper must be really happy." Fp says again
"No Hal and I left the baby isn't his." She says bitting her lip hopping he puts it together but Fp has never been good at math ever.
"Oh still hittin the town huh Al." He says smiling at her making her fake a laugh
"Yeah something like that." She says laughing along as they keep walking the isles like a normal family and just that taught breaks her heart as she knows she will never have him back.
"Well I better get going, I'll see you at the wedding?" He asks praying it's a yes.
"Yeah you will see me, my moms watching Charles." She says again hoping he doesn't notice her at his wedding.
"Ok well see you soon later Al." He says walking away and just him calling her Al makes her whole stomach fill with warmth and butterflies.

It's only 15 minutes till the ceremony and Fp can't get Alice out of his head he can't even remember his vows.
"You ready buddy?" Fred says walking into the dressing room.
"Y-yes." He says not making eye contact wth Fred as he tries to do his stupid tie, Alice was always so calm when she would tie his.
"I'll be right back." Fp says walking out of the room before Fred can give an answer.

He's looking at all the people in the seats at the comes across Alice's eyes as they meet Fp motions for them to meet in another room.
Him doing this gets Alice's hopes up that maybe he is making a mistake by marrying Gladys.
"Yeah?" Alice says walking to Fp.
"Alice," he pauses.
"Can you help me tie my tie?" He asks catching her off guard and making her stutter, of course he wouldn't leave Gladys, he only leaves her.
"What- sure." Alice says and moves her hand to his neck as tension and awkwardness fills the room.
"Thanks. Are you here with anyone?" He asks
"No." She says walking back to her seat leaving Fp confused.

It's now the end of the ceremony and all Fp could do was think about Alice the entire time, he almost said her name instead of Gladys but stoped himself. When he would look for her eyes he would see them with tears and it broke his heart.
"Gladys Knight, do you take Fp Jones to be your husband?" The priest asked.
"I do." She says smiling at Fp.
"And Fp do you take Gladys Knight to be your wife?"
And here's the moment Alice has been dreading.
Fp pauses, he looks at him hands holding Gladys's and then looks to Alice. He smiles sincerely at Gladys and finally says..
"I can't." He walks of the platform done to the guest and finds Alice's row who hasn't yet processed what he said she looks up at him and he smiles at her and then brings his lips down on hers is a passionate loving kiss.
"I love you Alice." He says to her and she smiles unable to stop.
"I love you to." Fp looks one more time at Gladys and he knows he could never spend his life with her stuck up rich ass.

They ran out to FPS car and sat there for a while.
"So what now?" Alice asks
"We get married, I've loved you forever Al and I don't ever want to spend my life with out you in it." He says
"Well before, we do any of that I need to tell you something." She says looking down at her fingers in her clenched fist only to see FPS hands unravel hers and hold them tightly.
"What ever it is Alice I will never be mad just tell me?" He says
" Charles um, he's not the result of a random hook up he's yours." She says and looks up to see Fps mouth open.
"I have a son?"
Alice just nods.
"I have a son. With the love of my life." He says and brings Alice in for a hug.
"We have a son."He says and Alice starts to cry as she digs her head into his shoulder.
"We do." She says
"Can I meet him?"
" I would love you to." Alice says and they drive into the night to Alice's house well their new house tinder their son.
