Ellie is now thirty weeks, Chris has been away filming and doesn't know when he's come back. Ellie decided to stay with Sandra and Zeke while Chris was gone and she was welcomed with open arms. Since Zeke is homeschooled, Ellie took the responsibility of watching over him and helping with other school things.
'Mama, when is uncle Chris coming home?' Zeke asked while they were doing art in the backyard.
'I'm not sure. Soon I hope.' Ellie smiled.
'Do you miss daddy?' Zeke looked up at her.
Ellie smiled and ruffled Zeke's hair, 'Of course I do. I miss him everyday.'
'I miss him too.' Zeke went back to drawing but after a few minutes he got up and sat beside Ellie on the picnic table. 'I like uncle Chris. I know he's going to make you happy and not leave. I also know that daddy likes him for you.' Zeke touched her cheek and she leaned in on his little hands.
'Thank you, Zeke. Your uncle Chris is really nice and he takes good care of me a lot.' Ellie smiled then Zeke hugged her and started crying. 'What's wrong?' She asked.
'Am I going to lose you once you and uncle Chris are married? And do I need to stop calling you mama when your new baby gets here?' Ellie wiped his tears.
'Oh, Zeke. You will always have me and you don't have to stop calling me mama.' Ellie got up, 'Go on and get your stuff so we can go inside.' Zeke did what he was told to and they both went back inside the house.
'How's art class?' Sandra asked as they got inside and Zeke ran off to his room.
'It was good.' Ellie smiled and walked over to the fridge to get a bottled water.
'El, you look pale, are you alright?' Sandra walked over to her and helped her to the living room.
'I just feel really tired. But I'll be okay.' Ellie smiled and rested on the couch.
'Do you want me to call Chris?'
'Oh. No, mom. He's probably busy anyway.' The two giggled then Ellies phone rang. 'Speak of the devil.' Sandra left to give her privacy.
                              'Hey, babe.' Ellie answered.
'Open the door.' Was all Chris said before hanging up. Ellie got up and waddled to the door and opened it.
                              'Surprise.' Chris said.
'What are you doing here?' Ellie asked as Chris hugged her and kissed her after.
'I wanted to surprise you.' Chris said as they both went inside and closed the door.
'Ah, you're here. How was the flight?' Sandra said as she walked in to the living room.
'It was great. I was too excited and couldn't even close my eyes.' Chris walked over to Sandra and hugged her.
'Mom, you knew he was coming home today?' Ellie raised an eyebrow.
'Yes, of course.' Sandra grinned then turned to Chris, 'go freshen up, dinner will be ready soon.' She turned around and went back to the kitchen.
'Come with me?' Chris grinned at Ellie.
'Mr. Evans, I know that smile.' Ellie rolled her eyes.
'Did you just... Did you just roll your eyes at me?' Chris raised an eyebrow.
'What you gonna do about it?' Ellie bit her lower lip then Chris carried her up the stairs to the guest room where Ellie was staying.
'I missed you.' Chris said as soon as the door was closed and he put her down.
