"How was school, bud?" Chris asked as Zeke got in the car.

"It was boring. Can I go back to homeschooling please?" Zeke pouted at Chris.

"You need to talk to you mom about that. I'm okay with whatever as long as you do good." Chris smiled at him and they drove off.

"Dad, mom seems a little off lately. Is she okay?" Zeke asked.

"I honestly don't know. Thank you for telling me though. I'll check on her when we get home." Chris drove them to their favorite restaurant to pick up their to go order and went straight home.

"Erik, I don't know what's wrong with me. I... I can't be pregnant. At least not yet. Hope is only a year old and..." Ellie said but Erik stopped her.
"El, relax. Have you taken a test? Maybe you should do that before freaking out." Erik said.

"I will do it tomorrow." Ellie heard the garage door open, "I gotta go, the boys are here."

"Alright, let me know the results. Love you, El." Erik said

"Love you too." Ellie hung up and walked over to Hope and carried her and made their way down.

"Ellie, we're home!" Chris called out as soon as they got in the house. Zeke took his shoes off and ran up the stairs almost bumping Ellie.

"Slow down, Zeke." Ellie laughed.

"I'm sorry, mom." Zeke smiled and continued running to his room.

"Why is he..." Ellie raised an eyebrow at Chris.

"I may have bought him something." Chris hugged his girls as soon as they reached the bottom of the stairs. "But I haven't given it to him yet. I told him I need to talk to you first."

"Christopher Robert Evans, what did you get him?" Ellie asked as the two walked towards the kitchen.

"I got him a new iPad. You know the kid isn't going to ask for a new one and his has cracks all over the screen and the top part is already busted." Chris said as he set the bag of food on the kitchen island.

"Well, yeah, he needs that." Ellie laughed as Chris carried Hope away from her. "I think she needs a change too." Ellie scrunched her nose and laughed. Chris rolled his eyes and laughed and turned to take Hope to the changing table they have at the home office.

Zeke came downstairs and headed to the kitchen to help Ellie.

"Mom, are you feeling okay?" Zeke asked as they put the food on the dining table.

"Yeah, why are you asking?" Ellie asked.

"This past week it seems like you're always tired. You have been napping a lot and you haven't picked me up at school for two weeks now." Zeke pouted.

"Oh. I'm sorry baby boy. I have just been busy with work. How about we spend the day tomorrow, just us?" Ellie smiled at him.

"I'd like that." Zeke smiled back at her.

"And I will take care of this little girl why you two are out." Chris said as he entered the kitchen with Hope and put her on her high chair.

"I..." Ellie turned pale and ran to the bathroom and threw up.

"MOM!" Zeke ran after her and held her hair up. "It's going to be okay mommy." He said.

"I'm okay, baby boy. I'll be out in a second okay?" Ellie smiled at Zeke and ushered him out of the bathroom then closed the door, locking it. She pulled her phone out and saw an e-mail notification, she tapped on it and it was an e-mail from her doctor.

"Babe, is everything alright?" Chris asked.

"Yeah. I'll be out in a sec." Ellie shouted. She splashed cold water on her face and patted it dry. She put her phone in her pocket and opened the door.

"Hey, are you feeling okay?" Chris held her face and kissed her forehead.

"Yeah, I probably just ate something earlier that didn't sit with me right." She smiled.

"Come on then, let's go eat. Food's getting cold." Chris put an arm around her shoulder and they both walked back to the kitchen.

Dinner went pretty good, Chris volunteered to clean up. Ellie took Hope upstairs to get her changed and as soon as they were in the nursery, Ellie pulled her phone out and called Erik.

"Hey. What's up?" Erik answered.

"Can you take the kids for the weekend?" Ellie asked as she was changing Hope.

"Yes of course. But why?" Erik said.

"I'm pregnant. I got the e-mail of the result today and..." She said through a sigh.

"You know what, I'm on my way there to pick them up." Erik said.

"No. Not ye..." Ellie tried to say but Erik already hung up. She put hope in her crib and called out to Zeke.

"Yes, mommy?" Zeke asked as he peeked through the nursery door.

"Uncle Erik wants to spend the weekend with you and Hope. Can you please tell your dad to come up here then pack a weekend bag." Ellie said. Zeke's face lit up and ran downstairs to tell his dad.

"Dad, Mom told me to tell you that uncle Erik is picking me and Hope up tonight and that you are needed up in the nursery." Zeke said catching his breath.

"Oh? I'll be right up. Go pack your weekend bag." Chris told him.

Ellie was packing Hope's essentials when Chris came in the room.

"Is everything okay, babe?" He stood behind her and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Once the kids get picked up, we need to talk." Ellie zipped up Hope's bag and walked away from Chris' grip.

"Babe, did I do something that got you in this mood?" Chris stood there trying to think of things he might have done throughout the day.

"No. You didn't. I..." She sighed. "I need to discuss something with you."

"Okay. Are you okay though?" He asked and she shook her head. "Okay. Let me get the kids ready, go and relax and I will be in after they get picked up." Chris said as he walked towards Ellie and kissed her forehead.

"Thank you, babe." She kissed back and walked off to their bedroom.

An hour later, Erik got to their house and picked up the kids. Chris locked up and walked back upstiars.

"Babe?" Chris walked over to Ellie.

Ellie turned around and threw herself at him and kissed him like her life depended on it. Chris smiled through the kiss.
