(Narrator's POV)
"Manta 5-1, welcome home"
The ship piloted by Maria was slowly heading towards the Kingdom of Atlas. A futuristic looking kingdom equipped with advanced technology that exists nowhere else.
"Please continue your approach to Atlas Docking Bay Omega-12. A security team will meet you there. Over." An Atlas soldier indicates via the radio
"What the hell, what's going on?" Night asks Qrow as he approaches the dashboard.
"I don't know" Qrow replied.
"But we are here. We got the lamp to Atlas. So I guess we land and get some answers." Jaune offers.
"I'm not so sure." Weiss said. "I've never seen our forces deployed so aggressively before. If we land in a stolen ship, there's no way the security team will let us anywhere near Ironwood. They might even take me back to my father." Weiss explains to the group.
"So?" Night asks the heiress.
"Winter." Weiss replied before picking up her Scroll. "Put some distance between us and the fleet." She said to Maria.
"You don't have to tell me twice." Maria replied to her before having the ship head for the city below: Mantle. The city was dilapidated, Atlesian soldiers patrolled every corner of the city, and holograms of General Ironwood were displayed on every wall. The group watched what was going on, and they knew something was wrong.
"Manta 5-1, we've noticed a detour in your route. You are to make your way to Docking Bay Omega-12 immediately, do you copy? Over." The soldier asks via the radio.
"We're kind of running out of time here, kids." Maria says to the students.
"We need to ditch the ship." Yang said.
"Agreed." Qrow replied, "Get lost in Mantle and buy ourselves some time." He said to Maria.
"I'm telling you, my sister can take us to Ironwood." Weiss says.
"Don't be so sure." Resare replied, intriguing the heiress, as a hologram of Winter appeared on one of the city walls.
"A reminder: Failure to cooperate with Atlas military personnel is a punishable offense." Winter's hologram states.
"Ironwood has completely lost his mind." Resare growls.
"No offense, Weiss, but I'm not sure that's a good idea anymore." Qrow said to the heiress.
"There's obviously something very wrong." Weiss replied.
"Nooo, you think?" Dragon asks her sarcastically.
"Listen: I'm sure she will listen to us! If we can talk to her..."
"Weiss!" Qrow interrupts her sharply. "I'm not even sure we should be talking to Ironwood until we know exactly what's going on with Mantle." The alcoholic explains to the white-haired young woman.
"What do we do, then?" Krystal asks, concerned.
"I know someone who can help with both." Maria replied.
"Seriously!?" Night exclaims before the radio sizzles.
"Manta 5-1, you are to make your...."
Night stabbed his dagger into the radio.
"Shut up." He says sharply before pulling the knife from the already battered dashboard. Maria lands the ship in an alley. Everyone gets off and heads for the street. Everyone followed Maria as she acted as a guide in a city that looked very negative, filled with robotic soldiers. The group passes a faunus who was trying to tune his banjo. Upon seeing him, Krystal stopped to give him some Liens.
