Chapter 19: If it's war that you want then you got it

(Narrator's POV)

General Ironwood left the office, leaving the team KNRD and Ruby with the Ace-Ops. The atmosphere was cold and tense.

"Five versus four. We have the advantage." Night says to his team.

"Take care of your sister instead, we'll take care of them." Resare says to her teammate.

"I'll lead the way." Ruby adds. Night looks at his teammates.

"Are you sure?" He asks. Everyone drew their weapons.

"We're sure." Dragon told him confidently. The Ace-Ops got into fighting position, except for Marrow

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, we're not actually going to slug this out, are we?" He asks the others.

"We're not doing anything. They decide what happens next." Harriet replies by looking Night in the eye. The young man grabs Shotgunblade and turns it into a sword. Marrow sighs before drawing his weapon.

"You think you're going to stop us? We're the best Huntsmen in Atlas" Harriet told them in a contemptuous tone. Night chuckled.

"And we are your worst nightmare." He replied before turning into smoke and following Ruby, who kicked the door down. Harriet went after them while the rest of the team KNRD confronted the Ace-Ops in the office.

"I'm going to hold her! Run!" Ruby says to Night. He enters the elevator before reverting to his human form and pressing the button. The elevator starts to descend, but a jolt makes the elevator stop.

"I should have known." Night complains before he sees Harriet open the plate on the ceiling. Night turns to smoke, exits the elevator and cuts the cables. The elevator falls into the void. The young man gets back up before looking at Ruby.

"Change of plan: You're going to join Emerald." Night orders his friend, who shrugs her shoulders.

"Whatever you say." Ruby said before taking another elevator. Suddenly, a noise sounded in the damaged elevator shaft. Night approaches it before seeing Harriet pop out of the void before kicking the young man in the torso, who was propelled against the elevator door opposite

"You're the worst, most pathetic nightmare I've ever seen." Harriet says to her opponent in a contemptuous tone. The young man gets up and retrieves his sword.

"We're walking into Salem's game. Think carefully about what you're doing." Night warns.

"Oh don't give me that crap. I had you kids pegged right from the start. Now I'm going to fuck you up, and even worse than on day one." Harriet threatens. Night glares at her with an icy tone before cracking his neck.

" Get over here, Featherhead" Night replied before getting into a fighting stance.

Dragon was swinging his sword against Elm's hammer, she was slowly backing up the stairs of the office. The faunus spat fire in the air, surprising the Huntress, who backed away before taking a backhanded kick in the abdomen. Except that she didn't move, nor even felt the blow. She grabs the faunus by the collar and lifts him in the air. The feet of the lynx-eyed faunus no longer touched the ground

"Is that all you got?" She growls at the faunus before throwing him into the middle of the hall. Dragon gets up and dodges another hammer blow before getting back into fighting position. Elm tries to punch Dragon in the abdomen, but faunus jumps behind her, cutting her left hand. The faunus turns back to Elm and delivers a spinning kick to her upper back, between the shoulder blades, knocking her to her knees. He jumps in front of her and tries to kick her in the face. Elm catches Dragon's foot before throwing the faunus against the wall and rushing towards him.
