(Night's POV)

I was in Jacques' office with Weiss. There was no sound except the ticking of the clock, and we were being stared at by a white-haired woman. She was looking at us silently.

"Weiss, honey, who is he?" She asked her.

"He's a friend." She replied in a calm tone.

"I see. She replied in a weak voice. "I'm sorry I couldn't come down for your party, I'm afraid I'm not feeling well." She excused herself as she walked around the desk with a bottle of vodka in her hand. I could tell she was really exhausted. To say she was at the end of her rope would be a mild understatement.

"Um, it's okay, Mom, it's fine." Weiss told her. Weiss' mother looked at me before turning back to her daughter.

"What are you doing in this office?" She asked us. Weiss and I exchanged a look.

"We're looking for something. Something I left." Weiss said to her mother, who looked at her with a saddened expression.

"That's right. You left... You left." She answered her with a voice full of melancholy. She made me feel sorry.

"We need to use your husband's computer, Ms. Schnee." I said.

"Why?" She asked us

"Because we think he may have done something...something wrong." Weiss replied. Her mother sighed.

"I thought we all simply assumed that at this point." She told us.

"Yes, well, some of us are trying to do something about it" Weiss replied. We approached the desk. Weiss' mother grabbed the bottle of vodka and drank straight from the neck. I was shocked, but I tried not to show it.

"He started locking his home computer." She told us as she set the bottle of alcohol on the desk. "But... He still has blind spots." She added as she showed us her scroll. We could see the desk as well as the three of us. Looking at the upper right corner of the room, I saw a surveillance camera.

"Does your husband knows?" I asked her.

"No." She replied. "I put them in every room of this house, for our safety in case I ever needed to-

I cut her off by putting my hand on her shoulder.

"You did the right thing." I told her in a comforting tone.

"Thank you..." She replied before turning back to Weiss and handing her her Scroll. "A man came by. I'm afraid your father may be involved in something more dangerous than he realizes." She told her before grabbing her bottle of vodka and heading for the door.

"No matter what happens, Weiss, please don't forget about your brother." She tells her before leaving the room.

"Your mother's really at the end of her rope..." I said to Weiss.

"I know..." She answered me with a sigh before looking at her mother's scroll. "You ready?" She asked me. I looked up at Jacques' painting.

"Not yet. Give me a moment." I replied before heading for the door and leaving the room.

(Narrator's POV)

Willow was walking silently down the endless hallway of her mansion, holding her bottle of vodka in her hands. She was exhausted. The white-haired lady arrived at her bedroom door and put her hand on the handle before she felt a presence. She looked at the floor and saw black smoke. She turned around abruptly before pushing a young man and trying to escape. Night turned into smoke and passed Willow before grabbing her by the wrist and holding her close. The woman was struggling.
