Chapter Eight

The new day came to fast. I knew instantly this time when the bird landed on the ground because I fell off and hit the ground.. hard.

I began to cough hard while I tried to catch my breath that was just knocked out of me.

“Nina you should be more careful.” Deidara calls down to me.

I glare up at him and instantly I flash stepped beside him and pushed him off his clay bird as he fell off the bird and made a ‘thud’ noise when he hit the floor.

“Don’t waste your strength.” Sasori says to me.

“What is up with you guys and telling me not to waste my strength?” I ask annoyed.

“About the blood…” Sasori says while ignoring my question.

I sighed and put my arm out toward him. A wicked smile spread across his lips while he cut my wrist open and had my blood drip into a jar.

“May I also take some saliva?” He asks.

“If you tell anyone what either of them are…” I say while he waved it off and I knew instantly that he wouldn’t tell anyone.

He grabbed out a q-tip and got some saliva out of my mouth. He then put it in a bag.

“I’m going to enter the town now.” He says to us while stepping into a creepy looking puppet that had a mask over it’s mouth.

“Alright.” Deidara says while he stepped out of his cloak. “Take your cloak off, un.” He says to me.

“Okay?...” I say while I slid my cloak off.

“Hand me any weapons you have on you and your head band.”

“No.” I say.

“Yes.” Deidara replies.

“Why should I?” I ask.

“So no one knows you are a ninja.”

“Who cares?” I say.

“I do.” He replies. I sighed and handed over my weapons except one knife that I put into my pocket when he wasn’t looking.

“Good.” He says while putting them in his bag on his bird.

Sasori stepped away from us. More like slid. Deidara and I made our way into the village and walked down to the library.

“What use is there here for us?” I ask.

“Nothing.” Deidara lies to me.

“You are lying.” I say.

“No I’m not.” He says.

“Yes you are.” I say.

“Whatever.” He says.

I walked over to a table and sit down and rested my head down on it while I watched Deidara go through books and try finding something to read. I noticed they all had to do with key’s to jutsus.

“What are you up to?” I ask.

“Trying to learn all there is to know about this key to process this jutsu we are working on getting.”

“What’s the key exactly for?”

“It allows us to extract the tailed beasts from their hosts.”

“Oh interesting.” I say.

“Ya.” He says while walking over to me.

“So any plans tonight.” He says while pushing my arm lightly.
