"Wait there is more" as more letters started to appear on the page Sophia let out a loud gasp as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"What does it say?" Carol asked
When she saw Sophia wasn't responding she looked at her only to see tears in her eyes.
"Hey, hey what's wrong?" Carol asked
Sophia's breath started to pick up until she was gasping for air
"Sophia, hey I need you to breathe for me ok?"
Sophia tried to speak but nothing came out "Come on, breath with me"
Carol said in a sweet tone, she started to breathe deeply and slowly in and out as Sophia copied her.
"What's going on?" Carol asked as Sophia started to calm down
"I- I can't stay here I-" Carol looked at her confused
"What do you mean?" "Read it" Sophia handed her the book
As Carol read what was written in the book, the confused look never left her face.
"Who is the scarlet witch?" Sophia bit her boom lip anxiously
"Sophia, who is it?" "M- My mom"
Carol looked at her with wide eyes "I can't stay here" Sophia said again
"Hey, hey wait you can't just leave without saying anything"
"I will write her a letter" "Sophia-"
"WHAT!? Carol, what do you want me to do, I can't stay here I won't be able to live with this" Sophia yelled her voice cracking at the end as tears pooled from her eyes.
"I-I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at you"
"It's fine, listen if you're leaving i'm coming with you you can't go alone you're only 17"
"I'm not a baby Carol" "I know, but you don't have your powers under control don't you?" Sophia stayed quiet
"I thought so" "What am I going to do? mom will be so mad at me"
"You can always stay here" "No I can't Carol, you've read what the book says how am I supposed to live with that?"
"Whatever you decide i'm with you kid" "Really?"
"Yeah, I won't leave you alone with all this" Sophia's eyes softened
"Oh uhh thanks"
"So... what's your decision?"
"I'll start writing my letter"
...
"Hey" Wanda said as Yelena got down the stairs
"Hey" "Is she ok?" "Yeah just needs some time to herself"
Wanda nodded as she kept eating.
"Where is Sophia?" Wanda asked "She told me she wasn't hungry" Laura said
"That's weird, she never say no to food"
After they all finished eating Wanda helped Laura wash the dishes as Yelena and Clint acted like little kids running around the house making both of them giggle
"It's been a while have you seen Sophia?" Wanda asked again
"No, I haven't maybe she's in her room and we just missed her when she came in"
