Sophia woke up the next morning not realizing where she was until she remembered the events of yesterday.
After she got ready she got down the stairs and was met with Carol sitting on the couch.
"Good morning" Sophia said, her voice raspy as she just woke up
"Good morning, how did you sleep?" Carol asked
"I slept good, could have been better but it was ok"
"I'm glad, are you hungry? Monica is making some breakfast"
"Sure I could eat"
Just then Monica walked into the living room "Good morning Sophia"
"Good morning" Sophia smiled softly
"Come on, breakfast is ready"
They all walked to the kitchen and sat down at the table
"Thanks Monica it's really good" "Your welcome sweetheart"
"Can I ask you two something?" "Sure"
"Are you two like... a couple?"
"Oh, no no, god no" Monica chuckled "I've known Carol since I was a kid she was my mom's best friend, she's always been like a family to me"
"That's right" Carol agreed with a smirk
"Where is your mom now?" Sophia asked, Monica swallowed the lump in her throat.
"My mom died... 3 years ago" "Oh- I, I'm sorry" "It's ok"
"Do you have any pictures of her?" "I do, she has a lot of photos with Carol"
"Can I see them?" "Uh yeah sure I'll go get them"
Monica rushed up the stairs and came back a couple of minutes later with photos in her hands.
"Here this is from the air force"
