Chapter thirty eight: The sangre witch

"Call us if you need anything okay?" Carol said as she brought Natasha into a hug.

"We will"  "And let me know when Sophia is safe"

"Don't worry Carol" , Carol sighed and nodded "I'll come visit I promise!"

"You better" they all laughed

"Bye, it was nice meeting you all" Monica said

"You too"

Carol and Monica waved them all goodbye before going on the jet and flying away.

"So..." Clint said making Natasha turn around and look at him

"I want you to see the kids and Laura but... it might be hard"

"I know, maybe you should call Laura first?" "Yeah I think I should"

Clint got his phone out and instantly called his wife

"Hello?"

"Hi honey" , "Thank god you're okay! why aren't you returning my calls?"

"I'm sorry sweetheart, we've been through some weird stuff"

"What do you mean?" Clint sighed

"Honey i'm gonna need you to sit down"

"Clint, you're freaking me out, what's going on?"

"Are you sitting?" "Yes"

"Okay... don't freak out okay? but... we, well, Sophia brought Nat back"

Clint said unsure of how he was gonna say it, "What did you say?" her voice sounded weak

"Clint this is not a joke" "I would never joke on that"

There was complete silence on the other line

"Honey? Are you still there?"

"Ye-yeah, I just, I need to process this"

"Take your time honey" "Can I talk to her? I need to hear her voice"

"Yeah" Clint passed the phone to Natasha, she looked at him confused

"She wants to talk to you"

"Hello?"

"Hey, Laur" Natasha said softly

Natasha waited for a response but she heard nothing until Laura let out a sob on the other side of the phone.

"Hey, Laur, It's okay don't cry" Natasha said as Clint looked at her sadly

"Please can you- can you come over? now?"

"I promise I will, just tell the kids first I don't want them to faint or something"

Laura let out a short laugh through her tears, "I will"

"I'll see you soon"

"Yeah"

Sophia woke up again in the same place she has been for almost three days, she was still tied up to the tree.

"Oh, finally you're awake" Agatha said

Sophia bearly picked her head up to look at her

"Here have some of this" Agatha said trying to give her some soup, but Sophia just kicked the soup out of her hands.

"You haven't eaten anything in two days, are you really gonna throw out your only meal?"

Sophia just looked away, "Not answering, I see how it is"
