Spring of Courage

Y/N POV:
I got called to the Royal hall to meet with Zelda, Impa, Link, and the small guardian. "Greetings Y/n, I hope training has done well for you." Welcomed Zelda. "It has thanks, Revali informed me that you needed my service." She nodded. "Yes, it appears that the small guardian indicated that the Calamity will be arriving on my 17th birthday."

My eyes widened. That was way too early for it to start. Zelda's birthday is coming in like tomorrow.
She hasn't even awaken her power yet. She must be really stressed about this now.

"Are you sure?! That's coming by quick." She nodded while sadly looking down. "My father or the king, demanded me to go to the spring of courage. Along with Link, Impa, and you by my side." I nodded. "I understand." "Thank you." The egg guardian beeped happily in response.

~Timeskip to the traveling of going to the spring of courage since I'm lazy~

Still Y/N POV:
As we made our way to the spring, Zelda made her way to pray at the goddess statue. Link was standing at the right side, Impa stood at the left with the egg beside her. I was standing in the center.

"I will do whatever I can, as I am right now." She prayed. "Even if all I have to give is my faith that things will work out. This is the thread that I have been following all this time." She then stopped walking and looked at the goddess statue.

"Even so.."

"All of the research into the relics, if I cannot awaken my power, will have been in vain." We all looked at her sympathetically. "Everyone else...is carrying out their duties with such grace." Link turned his head around while he was standing on guard.

"I am the only one, who cannot live up, to her own potential." Zelda looked down sadly. I felt really bad for her and didn't really know what to say. "Princess Zelda..." I said not really knowing what else to say. Impa then started to distract Zelda.

"Why not...Let's got take a break somewhere! I've gotten really..uh..suddenly I'm really hungry!" The small guardian beeped in response as if agreeing. "Yeah also count me in! We haven't ate since we left the castle."

Zelda just looked at us from her shoulder barely even looking at us. "Impa...Y/N..there's just..no more time."

We then heard monster noises from behind us and Link and I quickly turned around to see a bunch of monsters. Without hesitation, we all went forth to charge at the monsters making sure we keep the princess safe.

"Monsters? Here? In any case, all we can do is push back." Impa said. It was kinda surprising to see monsters here out of all places. "Link you take the moblin and Y/N take the other moblin! I'll get the Wizzrobe." I nodded and made my way to defeat the moblin. I dodged some of its attacks and managed to defeat him easily.

"I will fight too, I will be an asset rather than a hindrance." That's our princess. "Princess you must be exhausted from training. Please do not overburdened yourself!" Impa exclaimed. Forgot about that. But how is talking to a statue training? Is it draining your soul or..all right I'll shut up.

"Link, Y/N! You must protect the princess and stop these monsters!" We nodded and continued fighting. Even though we defeated most monsters they just keep coming! "Is there no way to get rid of all of them?!" I asked kinda panicking. "Monsters are attacking at mutiple outposts, let's split up and capture them!" Yelled Impa. We spilt up and I made the way to the outpost.

After I captured to outpost, we got a command from Impa to make our way to the princess cause she was surrounded by monsters. We defeated the monsters surrounding her. Luckily she was alright. I knew we had to make an escape so I signaled everyone to find an exit route to take.
