Amala's POV

1988.

After what happened at skate land bria has been ignoring my calls and I've been avoiding Eric. A year went by and the group was planning on performing 'fuck the police' live since the fans were begging for it.

Bria and I were supposed to collab but since the whole misunderstanding I had to just make it myself.

Making it was so fun but it would've been so much better with my girlfriend bria featured on it though.

Dre told me it was for the better because people would've compared us which would create a even bigger beef.

After filming my 'say so' video I went to go see my mom. She didn't react the way I expected to act which was grounding me or swearing me out but no she supported me even took me to my aunt on my father's side hair salon because I told her about bria and I.

She told to becareful in this industry especially when it comes to affairs.

"I really like this song sweetie especially the outfits you know I used dress just like this in the 60s." She added.

"Oh really? Then you must've been a sure thing huh?" I laughed as I joined her in the kitchen. Taking the beef out of freezer and placing it into the sink to chill.

We're planning on making roast beef with roast potatoes because her family's coming over. She told them about me being famous now.

"So, how's you and Eric?" She asked while preparing the beef with seasoning.

I didn't answer letting her know that I don't want to talk about him.

"You see him everyday Amala and ya'll still don't talk?" She asked stopping her task, turning around facing me with a disappointed looked.

"Can we talk about something else." I said looking away from her hiding my emotions.

"Amala baby, talk to mommy what's wrong?" She asked worriedly.

"Bria hates me mom and that's the biggest issue right now. Because of some dick I lost a real friend." I replied sobbing.

"Oh God honey it's going to work out somehow between you two." She assured me and just then I hear a knock at the first door.

"I know it's not them because they won't be here until another two hours." She mumbled before getting up to check.

Meanwhile she went to check that out I began seasoning the beef.

"Tupac what are you doing in LA?" I hear my mom say and my eyes bulged out. I remember him from middle school. He used to live right next to me but one day his mother moved to the west coast.

"How you doing red bone?" I stopped and looked up at him as he looked down at me.

"Tupac!!" I squealed running to him. Taking in his cologne. Damn he smells good.

"I heard about your new song 'say so' love your creativity." He said pulling away from me.

"Since you're here wanna stay for dinner?" My mother asked.

"Miss Edwards you already know the answer." He laughed before taking a seat at our table.

"I see you friends with nicki Minaj so can you hook us up?" He joked and my smile faded once more.
