Haru's POV: I was currently standing in the gymnasium as the headmaster was close to finishing his speech to all the third years that were graduating today. "And so I say with great joy and pride, may all of you do well in high school and your futures." After he finished talking, we were given permission to go our shoe lockers and go home "Finally I can go home. If I remember correctly, Hana has her art club meeting and Midori is going to hang out with her friends. Guess I'm walking alone today." I said as walked to my shoe locker but when I opened it, a bunch of letters fell out and I quickly realized what they are... love letters. 'Seriously?' I picked up letters that had fallen to the floor and grabbed the rest before putting them in my school bag. "Even though I'm not going to say yes to any of them, it would be kinda rude to not at least read them." After making sure I had everything, I put my outdoor shoes on and put my inside shoes in my bag before leaving. Just as I was about make it pass the school gate, I suddenly hear someone scream out my and when I turned around, I saw a big group of boys with tears eyes."Haru! Is it true that you intend to go to Toyama Academy?" asked a boy in front of the group "Yes it's true. I plan on going to Toyama Academy." As soon as I said that, the group cried in sadness. "You can't go! We never got to go on a date!" "We never got to see you in a cute swimsuit! You always wore those old times ones!" "Please don't go to Toyama, we won't be able to admire your beauty!" As the boys continue to shout their complaints, I began to shake in rage until I finally snapped "Shut the hell up! It's my choice on what school I want to go to and it has nothing to do with any of you creeps!" After my loud outburst, the group froze in surprise, leaving me a chance to escape them before they noticed. "Hey, where did Haru go?! Haru! Haru!" The boys could only cry out my name while all I could do was sigh. 'I'm definitely not going to miss this part of middle school.' I thought to myself as I walked away.
I was walking down the sidewalk while thinking about what had happened back at school. "God, even though I've made it clear that I'm a boy, those guys still see me as a girl. Seriously." I said to myself as I decided I didn't want to go home just yet and had towards the park to relax a little. The park was pretty empty with a few kids here and there playing while I just sat on a bench "An empty park is really relaxing." I said to myself as I got lose in thought, only to snap out of it when two women walked by and made comments on me "What a pretty girl but I wonder why she's where a boy's uniform." "Maybe a tomboy?" "That would make sense." I felt a little upset by what they said, I know that they didn't say anything mean but it kinda hurts my pride as a boy if I'm constantly seen as a girl. 'I wish I was manly.' I thought. "Welp, time to head home. I need to get dinner started." I started walking away when something caught my attention, the thing was a small, rickety old shrine that had a fox statue in it.
