3rd Person's POV: It was a normal and peaceful day at Toyama Academy and the students were extra excited today; why you might ask? Because it was time to switch to the summer uniform and the reason they were so excited for that was because it allowed them to see Haru in the uniform a.k.a Haru exposing more skin. "Ugh, I hate the summer heat, it's so unbearable and it's making my clothes stick to me." said Haru as he began to unbutton the top of his uniform, only to look around, see the hungry stares of the other students and immediately realized that it would be best to not unbutton his shirt. "You've always had a distaste for summer." said Hana as she handed Haru her handkerchief which he used to wipe away the sweat "Thanks Hana." "I understand how you feel about the heat Haru; the feeling of sweat on my body is so disgusting but there's one good thing about summer." said Asami "And what would that be?" asked Haru as he handed back Hana's handkerchief "Summer means that the pool will be open soon, so it's not all bad." When Asami turned to look at Haru, she was surprised to see him looking more unhappy than before while Hana face palmed by the comment. "That might be easy for you to say but when it comes to the pool, I don't have any fond memories of it." "Oh, my bad." "Let's hurry up and get to class, at least we won't be hot in there." said Hana, trying to diffuse the awkward situation, which worked and made the group had inside, completely unaware that someone was watching them from afar; or rather, where watching Haru from afar.

Nanami's POV: My name is Nanami Okano, I'm a first year at Toyama Academy. I'm what some would call a 'harsh person'. But there's a reason for that; you see I'm a little shy around people and whenever someone talks to me, I can't help but act defensive, which causes people to think I'm mean and not want to hangout with me. It's been that way since I was a kid and because of that, I've never had a single friend and it doesn't help that I have naturally mean look on my face. I thought for sure that I would spend my entire life without being able to make even a single friend; at least that was the case until that fateful encounter.

~Flashback~

I was walking down the hallway, heading to my next class, when I heard someone call out to me. "Excuse me." I turned around and saw none other than the famous Haru Sato, who was currently holding my handkerchief. "I believe this might be yours." He said as he stretched out arm towards me. I was pretty flustered since not only was someone talking to me, it was the most famous person in the entire school. "U-u-uh. T-thank you but just so you know, you didn't have to do that. You could have easily ignored it." I said as take back my handkerchief. Haru stared at me for a bit before laughing, surprising me. "I know I didn't have to but I did it because it was right thing to do. Besides, isn't it customary for a boy to give a girl her handkerchief back when she loses it?" Haru gave me a smile, causing my heart to skip a beat. "Welp, I better get going. See ya later." "Oh, uh, goodbye." That was all I could say before he walked away, leaving me alone in that hallway.

~End of Flashback~

That was the very first time someone was nice to instead of getting upset, just remembering that day makes heart jumpy. I haven't been able to get a chance to talk to Haru since than and it didn't help that we were in different classes but today is the day that I approach him and ask him to be friends. It shouldn't be that hard, after all, I have been practicing to make sure I don't screw up my words. Anyways I better head to class, I definitely don't want to be late.

~Time Skip brought to you by Nanami looking at Haru from afar~

It was currently a small break time at school and Nanami was currently looking inside Haru's classroom and seeing him talking to Hana and Asami. 'Alright Nanami, you got this, just remember what you're going to say to him. "Hi my name is Nanami Okano and I was wondering if you would like to be friends?" There's no way you can screw this up.' thought Nanami as she opened the classroom and walked inside, heading straight for Haru. Upon seeing a shadow over him, Haru looked up and saw Nanami apparently glaring at him. "Um, hi. Is there something you need?" asked Haru, while Nanami stood there silently, which made the situation kinda off. 'Come on Nanami, just say it. It isn't that hard.' "H-" "H?" 'Nanami, what on earth was that?! What happened to all that time we practiced?!' In her panic, Nanami shouted out these words: "I came here because I wanted to check this classroom, not because I wanted to talk to anyone!" Turning on her heels, Nanami ran out of the classroom, slamming the door shut on her way out and leaving everyone confused." "What the hell was that?" asked Asami "You're guess is as good as mine." said Hana while Haru sat at his desk silently, completely in shock. Meanwhile, out in the hallway, Nanami was crouching down on her knees and had her head in her hands as her face turned red and steam began to come out of her head.
