"There we go the perfect tree." I gazed up at a tree with glistening eyes. It was huge. There was a small river running down next to it on the right. Ahead of it was a large open body of water from where the water flowed into the stream. There was a street light beside the large tree. Not thinking twice I began to climb up the branches. It had the perfect branches. They became larger and larger each time I climbed up near the top. I wanted to go all the way up.
It was a beautiful fall day, the air was cool. Vergil's trench coat was zipped up on me keeping me comfortable. In the distance, I could see Nero, and Dante. I wasn't sure if they could see me. I was hard to tell. They had their weapons on their backs though. Nero's queen blade, and Dante's devil sword.
"Just a little farther." I breathed. For some reason I wasn't afraid, this seemed really easy to do.
Finally, I was up at the top. Adjusting myself I sat down on the branch, my feet hung in the air. "Nice fresh air." I watched the boys way down on the ground walk around. Still had no idea I was up here.
A chilly breeze blew lifting the fall red, and orange leaves up off the ground. I looked up at the sky, it was getting dark. "How? is it getting dark at this time, it's daytime still." A chill hit me as it suddenly became almost night in a matter of seconds. 'A-alright little creepy.'
I could see Nero pacing around below, were they looking for me? Before I could think anymore, demons began to show up below. The red gem spiders, and the lizard furys. I felt a chill hit me. I was safe up here for now though. More and more of them appeared out of nowhere below. I began to wonder why. There were so many. I could see Dante, and Nero begin to slice them up.
"Hello there miss." My blood froze inside of me. A voice cut all my thoughts off, I snapped my head to the figure. "What a lovely night isn't it?" It was a very tall man, he had very long dark hair, dark red eyes. But wait he was floating in mid-air. Then my eyes spotted a set of demonic-looking black bat wings. 'Demon 100%' I swallowed a bit but stayed cool.
His red eyes gazed at me sharply, yet his speech was formal. "Yes, it is sir." I replied trying to play cool. " My, you are quite high up." He spoke while flapping his wings. "I like climbing trees is all."
He came a bit closer. "Hmm, strange you seem human, yet you smell like a devil." 'Don't sniff me! weirdo.' I thought. My heart began to pound. I smelt like a- a demon?? how was that possible. A small flashback from the blood in the glass came to my mind. 'Dante's blood.' It had to be that. That also explained why I got up here so easy and jumped sort of high off the van.
"Hmm, my demons below seem to be multiplying. Say who are those two down there?"
'Shii*t he was controlling the hoard of demons.' I tried not to gasp, but glance down instead. Poor Nero and Dante were fighting an endless amount of demons.
"I have no clue sir." I replied calmly. "Is that so?" He got even closer to me, he didn't look half bad, but something was off about him. He sniffed me again. Making me pull slightly back. "What is it?" I blinked. He just locked his gaze on me, those strong red eyes seemed to almost glow.
"You're blood smell really.., nice...it's tempting."
"I'm sorry sir, but I am already taken." I lied. I just wanted him to back off. "I see, just a bit. See we demons need blood to live. Sure we are no vampires because we eat other things too. Blood, sweet blood is what we craze after a while. May I?"
I wanted to gag at his words. Crap I was stuck I couldn't go down there. I had to do something! " Come on I have a family to feed to you know." He went on getting closer to me. I slid bathwards on the tree branch trying to pull my neck away from him. I was in danger.
