(V's POV)

'I searched high and low, but still, I could not find her, not a trace of her or the steed she had.' 'This was odd, It didn't seem like her to suddenly up and leave us all.' 'Something told me she was still alive, but where she was I did not know.'

V paced around a bit trying to figure out where else he could look. He wore the clothing that he used when he was fully himself, the devil and all. 'Thoughts of worry hit me, I disliked this feeling knowing I would have to tell Dante, and Nero that I have lost her.'

The ride was pretty smooth, it was quiet but the pilot knew the plan from Morrison. All I needed to do was wait till I arrived. I thought about how I had to leave my friend behind, and not tell them where I was going. I felt bad about it. I looked out the window. Normal cloudy sky. At least that was what I thought, till something made my helicopter shake. "W-what was that?"

"Aah.., sorry miss. We are looking into it." The pilot replied from ahead.

The aircraft tilted again, making me grip my seat. "D-demons...! I'm sorry.. miss." The man spoke in a worried tone.

"Demons...oh god." I looked outside again, seeing a few floating green and yellow bugs. They must have been on top of us. *CREEAAK* The copter let out more sounds, and warning signals began to beep.

*beep beeep beeep!*

"We have no choice but to bail! Or it will explode on us." The demons were hacking apart the helicopter from above. "Uhghh." A sinking feeling hit my stomach. 'For the love of everything! why do crappy things always happen to me?' I sighed to myself. Getting up, grabbing my backpack, and katana. "Any idea where we are?" I questioned the man. "I'm quite sure we are above water, we should go now! good luck to you miss." With that, the man jumped out and floated away hitting the water below far away.

"Here goes nothing.." I pushed off the side and jumped out of the helicopter. I glanced back seeing the demons trash the top of it apart, as it flew away, about to crash down anytime. I gripped my stuff hard, and I took in a deep breath and dropped into the water.

*SPLASH!*

Bubbles and water swirled around me, and I got soaked to the bone. I pushed myself up above the water, letting out a gasp for air. "Blaah...well this sucks." I looked up." At least the demons are gone.." It was still light out, from what I could tell it was a lake I jumped into. I began to swim to land, the weight of my things made it harder to swim. It slowed me down and pulled back at myself. "C-come on..swim...I can not let it end here." I forced myself to get to land.

After a long while, I finally arrived on land. "Ugh...finally.." I flung myself out, and sat there on the ground, with the water dripping off me, and my stuff. Where was I going to go now? It looked like I was out in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully the air was decent warm here, it gave me a chance to dry myself off. I looked around from where I sat, hoping I would see something, a light may be a camp?

My eyes catch a slight glimmer of light in the distance."Well well well, look at that, I guess I have a chance after all." I picked myself up, and grabbed my things and began to trudge over in the direction of the light. I only had a bit of sunlight left, hopefully, I got there by the time it set.

Meanwhile, at the Devil May Cry office.

Dante was sitting at his desk, sipping some coffee. When there was a knock at his door. Dante's blue eyes locked onto the door right away, as it swung open. "Oh, it's you. Thought it was going to be Morrison."

"Heh..I see." V entered the room. He took a deep breath and spoke up. "We need to talk, also it's best if Nero was here as well." In the back of his mind, V was nervous. This was going to be hard to explain to them.

"Alright, I'll give the kid a call. Hey, so where is ____ though? You didn't bring her with you."

"We shall talk after, Nero gets here." V stated. Dante agreed and called Nero.

"Hi Nero, say could you come down to my office, please?"

"Yup, alright." Dante replied to Nero on the other end.

"Okay, you got your wish." Dante looked back at his brother, or least his human self. V nods his head with a  bit of respect in his motion. He pulled out his book and walked to the sofa, and sat down. He crossed his legs and waited like that till Nero arrived.

"Alright! I am here, this better be good." Nero pushed the door open. Dante looked up at V. V looked up and Nero and Dante. He closed his book. "Sit, this may be a while." V pointed to a chair with his cane. Nero did as he said, and plopped down on the chair, still looking fro answers.

"Alright V, tell us what this is all about." Dante looked at V. All eyes were now on V himself, how was he could explain this mess?

( Time Skip)

"YOU WHAT!?" Nero just about fell off his chair, his eyes blazing at V. He had a million questions in his brain. "Nero..just wait a second." Dante tried to tell him to calm down, but he knew if he said too much, Nero would explode on him too.

V winced at Nero's tone. The man looked down for a moment, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Let me explain." V's tone went low.

"UGH fine." Nero sat back down, crossing his legs, just about staring daggers at V.

"Now as I was saying. I am not sure where she went, or why she is gone. I just found her suddenly gone this morning. Normally she would be anywhere in the house by then. I have looked everywhere, and even went into town, and still, I have not found a trace of her. Something tells me, that she is still alive though."

Nero huffed a bit from his seat. "Well....this is a lot, but I see what you are saying V. I can tell she seems to still be alive. The question is where?, and why." Dante put his feet up. "We need to assume she has her weapon with her and is going to fight her way out no matter where she is. We need to think, we can't just go out blinding hunting."

"That is what I thought too, we need to think." V spoke. Nero tapped his boots on the ground, a bit annoyed and worried at the same time. His good friend was missing. "Wait I have an idea."

"Go on." V looked at Nero. "I'll send her a message on my phone, lets see what happens." "Alright good start." Dante nods. Nero took the time to text the message.

"Sent." The three waited to see if anything came through the phone.

Seconds passed, even 5 min. "Well, anything?" Dante looked at Nero. Nero shook his head. "No.., not yet. It says it sent though."

"Hmmm, perhaps it has no signal?" V questioned. "Hard to say, there is nothing to show that on this end." Dante tilted his head a hit. V ran a hand through his dark locks, trying to think of a way.
