( It's a new year, it's been a couple of years now since I started this book. I have plans/ ideas still written down that I have not shown yet to anyone. I'm not sure when I will complete this book because it's very long now. I won't until I can leave it on a good note.)

The ground was still damp with rain, but with each step, Vergil and his brother got closer to the Devil May Cry office, and the rain began to freeze to ice.

"Well look at that, I think your temper is changing the rain to ice." Commented Dante.

"Hmm..... perhaps." The ground began to crunch under their feet.

"What the hell is this?! My office!" Dante gasped seeing hordes of demons of all kinds swamping at his office entrance, and some were practically dancing on the roof. "Those little jerks!"

"Dante forget that remember who is inside?!"

"Shit...."

Rage began to boil inside Vergil. "Vergil wAIT UP!" Dante followed his upset brother who froze the ground around them.

(Inside The Office)

"Neroo...how long do you think we will last in here?"

"I don't think it's good to this about that." Nero knew I was right though. He worried that the glass at the front door would break at this point.

Loud bangs and the sound of blood splattering suddenly became louder.

"Wait, stay here. If that door opens we are done for." Nero stopped me. He had his sword out ready to attack if any of the gross demons would come inside.

"Out of my way!" I swore I could hear Vergil's voice shouting outside.

"I think I'm going crazy."

"WWOOHOH!!YEAAH!" Now I thought I heard Dante shouting too.

"I'm hearing it too," Nero commented.

"Great we are both going crazy now."

"DIE!" That voice of Vergil was beginning to sound more and more haunting. The voices sounded more demonic now. The sounds of demons screeching flooded my ears.

"The door! NOW!"

With one last loud bang, the door suddenly swung open, with blood splattering inside, and then freezing into ice.

Nero and I stood before an icy blue glowing-eyed Vergil. Who had his demonic tail out trailing on the ground. He looked extremely upset.

Dante threw himself in kidding across the ground causing some red flames to follow him. "OOh woops." He set the flames out on him remembering he could burn the place down if he didn't.

"V-Vergil." I was almost afraid to speak, he looked so focused.

The scent of blood wafted across the room, making Vergil crinkled his nose. He glanced at me, then sped up the steps.

"Dante! watch out I think he is opening the door, we locked a demon in there.!" I shout.

Stomping up the steps Vergil flung the door open and a couple of demons flooded in coating the ground in blood.

"WOAH!" Dante gasped.

"UGH! Impossible!" Vergil shouted as I heard him begin to slice them up.

One loose one ran downstairs and faced me and Nero. "Woah, ___ back up!"

It was the zombie demon. Nero tried to warn the demon to back off from me. "We got a live one! Dante you idiot you forgot one!"

It hissed and made the worst sounds you could think of.

"I don't think SO!" Vergil jumped off the top steps and aimed his Yamato right at the zombie demon who was about to lunge at me.

*THUD!*

Vergil stabbed it into the floorboards. I turned my head for a moment to catch my breath.

"Feww I think we got them off. I warned them to back off. I sent them off packing to the underworld." Dante walked back down looking normal minus the blood on his clothes.

He watched as the icy blue flames slowly left Vergil, along with his demonic tail. His eyes stop glowing.

Vergil straightened himself up and then looked at me. Without much warning, he walked up to me instantly grabbing my arm, and searching me with his eyes. Walking circles around me. Concern flooded his eyes.

"Did they touch you?" He asked in a small growl. "N-no they didn't."

"Do you two know anything about this?" Dante scratched his head while grabbing a drink. Meanwhile, Vergil swung a strong arm around me, putting me in a strong grip. Practically forcing me to follow him to the sofa. Nero could only sigh, but he was happy that this nightmare was over for now.

"V-Vergil too much," I complained about not being able to breathe right. The man suddenly let go and dropped his head down still keeping his one eye on me. "I apologize.." He muttered.

"I don't.." Nero replied to Dante.

"I have seen something strange like this before. On my doorstep..." Vergil spoke in a low voice.

My mind began to rewind remembering when I was running to VErgil's home and I was being followed. Only now did I remember Vergil probably saw them at his front deck. 'Ooh... lovely...' I thought. Vergil still had no idea that I was sneaking out to hunt with Nero. This was getting a bit more dangerous for my secret to come out. At this point would Vergil be that upset though? I wondered. I glanced at Nero, he knew a bit about the zombie demons because of me. He kept quiet though.

Vergil looked at me. "Do you need a drink?"

I nod my head. He stood up and went to grab something to drink.

"Well you managed to hold down the fort pretty well, but I have a window to fix now, damn demons." Dante sighed.

"I will assist with that," Vergil muttered. Only because that was also putting his _____ in danger if it was not fixed.

"We should return _____, it's dark now, even less safe than before," Vergil said to me. "Alright." I didn't want to argue with him, because I was deep down happy that he came to help, and did not abandon us.

"See you later ___! maybe we can go hunting together sometime." Vergil shot a glance at Dante." Oh come now, if ___ is with us, that is the safest."

"......not wrong." Vergil trailed off.

Vergil opened the door, and I peered out for the first time in hours.

Bodies of dead demons sliced up, blood frozen to ice crystals. The rain on the streets was frozen even the trees had ice in them. I stepped over the bodies not trying to seem affected. Vergil was proud to see I tried to hide the fact this worried me.

"Careful of the ice." He muttered.
