'Man it's freezing out here...' I tried my hardest not to sniff. I could just hear Vergil's voice in the back of my mind. 'Pft, snow too deep for you? PAthetic.'
That was only a guess, he didn't say that. This was pathetic though, the snow was soo deep. With each step I took, it felt like I sunk down even farther. I glanced at Vergil who had stoic written all over his face. By the way, he moved, he seemed to be struggling a bit too, even with his really tall self.
Another blast of cold wind slapped me in the face. Making my nose run. *sniff..* I tried my best to stay quiet.
After a couple more minutes, my legs began to burn. I accidentally tripped on the deep snow causing me to fall forward and knock Vergil down with me. The two of us face-planted down into the soft but cold snow.
'OOf!'
I heard a soft grunt come from Vergil's mouth, as he slowly dug himself out, glancing at me. I sat back on my knees, having the snow up to my chest as I sat down and took a breath. 'Boy this is so sad...' We were walking so slowly, I was tired. He was tired. We all felt like crap at this point.
Vergil cleared his voice. "I..c-could turn into my demonic form...and fly back."
'...hmm....' I thought about it, but I wasn't sure. "Can't we just teleport..?"
Vergil sighed. "I...am a bit low on energy as of late. Teleporting requires more..."
'Ugh..useless.' I told myself. Even though it wasn't true that he was useless. "Nope never mind." I kicked myself up and double-timed the walking. Vergil could only sigh as I passed by him. He was a bit confused as to why I refused his idea.
( Time Skip)
"Holy...crap..!" I slammed the door to Vergil's home open. the second I stepped inside. I plopped down onto the ground absolutely exhausted. We looked like a couple of snowmen at this point.
Vergil tilted his head, then noticed Dante was already here. "How?" He questioned his brother.
"Uh...it's called flying??" Dante furrowed his brows.
'Tch...sorry I asked.' Vergil rolled his eyes.
"Well, she did not want to."
"Are you sure she's alive? She looks...dead." Dante looked down at me, who lay there sprawled out.
"Pft, I'm sure."
"Ha... troublesome." For the first time in a while. Vergil kneeled down and rolled me over on his knees, so I could face him.
"Not dead," I spoke.
"I can see that." He replied. He was gonna lift me up off the snowy floor when I slipped out his grasp. "Noope..I'm just gonna go."
I needed some alone time, so I headed to my room. Leaving Vergil puzzled. Like the man was trying.
