There is was Vergil's home

There is was Vergil's home. The few lamp posts here had in his front yard were already lit up.

I swore on the way I could hear demons growling in the distance, Dante told me to relax that they wouldn't dare attack right now. Not while he was around. I assumed his demonic arura was in extra protective mode, telling the smaller demons to back off. That was my logic anyway. Dante knew what he was doing anyway.

"There we go, seems like my brother is back too." I knocked on the door. The large doors flung open, revealing Vergil, not V. 'Oh.' Not that I didn't like enjoy Vergil's company at times, but I just thought it would be V still.

"Hmm, welcome back." Then his eyes glanced up at Dante. "I guess since you brought her back alive. I should give some thanks." Vergil reluctantly thanks his brother.

"Haha, no problem man. You take care of her." Dante glanced harder at his brother. "Yes...I know.." Dante signalled to his brother that the demons nearby are restless. I said the goodbyes to Dante and went inside.

Vergil's eyes follow as I walk by him, and head to my room. In the back of his mind, he is a bit concerned that the demons outside seem, restless and possibly a threat to his home. I was about to totally vanish from his sight when Vergil took the chance to call out.

"The tea is ready if you like?" I stopped in my tracks, looking back at the silver-haired devil man. Tea did sound nice, I followed after Vergil.

Vergil, and I have finished our tea and a small meal. I was about to head out to my room for the night when suddenly he teleported right at my face. He blocked my way out with his big tall figure. I was so confused, it was written all over my face. What did he want? I tried to calm my rapid heartbeat down, his sudden teleporting always chilled me.

He let out a small cough. "Don't be alarmed now." He snorted in his low tone. "I..think it is in your best well-being if you.....spend the night in my quarters."

*gulp* My eyes widen. 'WHAT?' I gasped inside my mind. Vergil saw the look of shock written all over my face. I was near blushing at him. I wanted answers though. Who the hell is he asking me something like that??

"Look." He let a sigh. He relaxed his form, still not letting me pass till I hear him out. "It seems..., I may have worried you. My reason is.." He pointed the hilt of his Katana out towards the window. "The demons...have become restless, they didn't seem to take too kindly to the past events. I rather NOT, have them invade my home." I may not have sensed Vergil's demonic power like Nero and Dante. I still could tell he had some sort of walls up.

"...the library, Dante...and me...walking back here at night." Vergil nods, his sharp blue eyes looking at me. Deep down hoping I won't slap him for this request. He wanted it to just be safe in his home. Not overrun by lower demons. Vergil's demonic aura was strong, it sealed itself around his home. He hoped it will help scare the demons off.

"Fine...okay." Vergil sighed isnide his mind. "Very, well." Vergil walked away, finally letting me pass.

'It's time to prepare.' Vergil walked off, seeing a sense of power in him. This was different though. A different kind of power. From what he saw, and took note of my reaction. This night might not be so easy for him.
