"The gods of the Shyre belief stemmed from as early as 2000 BC, consisting of the belief of 27 various main gods that guided its believers through certain morals and standards. The Shyre belief had world-wide believers, and it's unknown from which region the belief began, but it had spread as far as the middle east, south-east Asia and even southern Africa."
Soobin scrolled down further, his eyes skimming the pages quickly. He had seen Seokhwa's research books the next morning and he had some flickering memories of the god he had met for the first time. He could never forget that day as he walked out the school. He couldn't remember any further contact with the god, but he knew that he had to do further research.
He knew his life had been affected by the god Vici. Everything had begun falling apart far too quickly. He had lost Ryuhyeon quite strangely, but can never seem to recall how or why. Unknown to him, Vici could only erase their encounters. Everything he learnt from Seokhwa was second-hand learning, so Vici had no part in those memories.
"The three gods Veni, Vidi and Vici were born of a peach tree located in the heavens of their realm, and have grown to lead their believers into lives of good deed and a high standard of living."
"Oh, Seokhwa told me this, I'll skip it." Soobin scrolled further until he got to Vici, the god he had met.
"Vici was once the god of protection against heavenly enemies created by Animus, the main enemy of their realm. Animus sought to destroy Earth and make it his realm of destruction, but Vici was much stronger than any creature he sent forward. Vici was humanity's protector and defended anyone who called his name."
Soobin frowned. "But then why did he...?"
"However, the humans grew stronger as their technology developed. They made weapons and were able to defend themselves against Animus. Vici was no longer needed as no one called his name. He turned to anger and became a being of chaos himself, and in turn became a negative god. Vici spoke words of anger, spite and jealousy amongst the people, causing the humans to push each other apart and grow distrustful of one another."
"So that's what he tried that day," Soobin muttered. "Maybe he was the one that caused Ryuhyeon to cheat on me with that guy... maybe she was just confused..."
"The other Shyre gods could not make him change his ways. Ymyr, the god of harvest, rain and earth, pushed him from Earth many times, but was not powerful enough against him. The Shyre gods let him be, as they had no way to stop him unless he was slaughtered by the gods that came from the same peach tree, or if he changed his ways on his own."
Soobin stared at the depiction of Vici, humming in thought. Unless his 'siblings' killed him, he'd never return to being Earth's protector. Soobin wondered if he'd ever encounter the god again, but could never be too sure. "I want to know why I was chosen..."

Renjun waved to Sanha as he left the library, pulking his backpack strap tighter as he continued on his way. The library had closed early for maintenance on the electrical systems, so he either had to study at his dorm or at a study room. They rooms would probably be full, so he chose to head home.
"Renjunnie, there you are."
His expression brightened as his new interest appeared nearby, quickly crossing the street to be with him. "Y-Yeonjun!"
Yeonjun, as the person was named, ran over to him, pulling him into a tight hug. "Ah, I missed you, Renjunnie. I haven't seen you all day."
"I was just studying as usual, and I usually see you there, so where were you?" Renjun asked with a playful pout. "You usually come visit me at the library these days."
"Ah, sorry, I met someone and we hung out for a bit at the PC room," Yeonjun said with a sheepish grin. "I met someone called Choi Soobin - know him?"
Renjun raised an eyebrow. "I might. Why?"
Yeonjun hummed thoughtfully before crossing his arms. "He was speaking about how his girlfriend broke up with him, the poor guy. Apparently she cheated on him. He said he wanted to move on and was being really touchy."
"T-touchy? With you?" Renjun asked, his tone wavering ever so slightly. "O-oh. I mean, we're not a thing or anything, but... it's still kind of, you know - upsetting. I did confess, after all..."
"And I'm still considering you, baby," Yeonjun chuckled, tipping Renjun's chin with his index finger. "You're too cute, but I don't want to be tied down right now. Maybe if you told Soobin to back off, I'd be a bit more likely to be with you - unless you want me to get closer with Soobin?"
"What? No," Renjun said quickly. "Soobin's a good friend of mine, and I can't let a guy get between us."
"Renjunnie," Yeonjun pouted, stepping forward to him, "I thought you liked me. Don't you want me? Tell Soobin to leave me alone - I don't want to say it because we just met and all. Just tell him I'm yours - I don't mind it."
Renjun's eyes flashed a slight red and he bit his bottom lip slightly before nodding. "Okay... but I don't want to be mean..."
"Being a little mean is okay, isn't it?" Yeonjun asked softly. "You and Soobin aren't even that close in the first place. He's kinda cute, though..."
"Stop calling him cute!" Renjun exclaimed, crossing his arms. "You're making me angry on purpose...!"
"Watching you get upset will be so cute, though - besides, it'll be cute to see you defend our relationship."
Renhun looked at him with brightening eyes. "Relationship?"
Yeonjun chuckled, leaning forward to kiss his forehead. "Just get a little upset at Soobin, and I might take you on a date. Deal?"
Renjun didn't know why, but he found himself nodding. "No one can have you but me, Yeonjunnie."
