Soobin thought his day was going fine until he reached the library. Outside stood his girlfriend and Lim Jimin — the one guy that he didn't particularly like. Ryuhyeon seemed to be conversing happily with him, and Soobin initially thought nothing of it, but annoyance was too difficult to ignore..

"I told you…"

Soobin looked to his right, meeting eyes with that black-haired boy from those few days before. Vici stood a few metres away, far enough for Soobin to have not been able to hear him. How did he hear his voice so clearly, then? He frowned, trying to look away, but he spoke again.

"… she's no longer in love with you."

Soobin blinked, and he disappeared from his sight instantly. He looked back at Ryuhyeon and Lim Jimin, feeling his blood boil in anger. He was right — Ryuhyeon seemed far too happy with someone else. She didn't even look at Soobin with such a gaze.

"Maybe she wants to love him…"

Soobin felt his feet stepping towards the two, his heart thumping in anger. He had loved Ryuhyeon for so long — of course he'd grow protective at some point. That point has been reached, and he wouldn't stand idly as Ryuhyeon grabbed any opportunity to love anyone else but him.

"Oh, Soobin—"

"You bastard—!"

Soobin launched his fist straight at Lim Jimin's face, making the black-haired boy stumble backwards until he fell to the ground. Ryuhyeon gasped loudly, covering her mouth with her hands. Soobin's red-tinted eyes showed his anger, not a inch of remorse detected in his gaze. "What the fuck?!"

"Soobin, what are you doing?!" Ryuhyeon demanded, kneeling beside Lim Jimin in concern. She held his face, glancing carefully at the red mark near his nose. "That was completely unnecessary, what were you thinking?!"

"Why are you defending him? Does he know you have a fucking boyfriend?!" Soobin yelled. "He's clearly trying to—"

"Soobin, you idiot, Jimin's got a boyfriend!"

Soobin widened his eyes. Ryuhyeon helped Lim Jimin stand up, holding his wrist and pulling him behind her. She sighed and Soobin felt his anger subsiding. "I didn't…"

"I didn't want to out him, that's why I never told you," Ryuhyeon said with a heavy heave of her breath. "Clearly you don't trust me. This relationship won't work out if you don't trust me, which isn't happening anytime soon."

"Ryuhyeon—"

"Thanks for showing me what a total asshole you are, Choi Soobin," Ryuhyeon scoffed, interrupting Soobin. "Save your breath. You've been out of it for weeks. We can't see each other like this. Talk later — I can't look at you right now, I need to help Jimin."

Soobin watched helplessly as Ryuhyeon walked away, taking Lim Jimin's wrist in her hand. He felt his shoulders sink and he groaned heavily once Ryuhyeon was gone. "What was I thinking…?!"

Soobin looked to his left, seeing that Vici was gone completely. He thought back to Seokhwa's words — gods appear when they are requested. Soobin clenched his teeth in anger one last time before entering the library, bowing politely before heading upstairs where it was most quiet.

Soobin reached one of the corners, closing his eyes tightly before inhaling sharply and exhaling softly. "Vici, if you can hear me… I need to see you right n—"

"You don't have to say it out loud."

Soobin yelped, almost stumbling when the god appeared in front of him, his red eyes tinted with mischief. "T-the god…!"

"I'd like you to say my name out loud in other ways," the god chuckled, crossing his arms. Soobin widened his eyes, feeling his cheeks tint at those words. "I must say, you're not very good at expressing your anger. You must be a soft boy. I'd appreciate next time if you—"

Soobin reached forward, grabbing the god by the collar of his shirt and tugging him close. His teeth were clenched and his eyes tinted red again. "I just ruined my relationship with my girlfriend because of you. Do you know what you just did?!"

Vici chuckled, soon bursting out in laughter. "Yes, this! This is what I want! Anger. Rage. Irritation. God, you look so cute when you're angry."

Soobin pushed him against the bookcase harshly, clearly not done with his outburst. "You better fix what you did, or I'll make your life hell."

The god raised an eyebrow, letting out a scoff. "My life? Baby, I'm just getting started with you. Slowly, you'll lose everyone. You'll turn to me because I'm the only one that will ever give you the love you need. I'm the god of disharmony — my calling is to pull things apart. Ryuhyeon will never love you again—"

"You bastard!"

Before Soobin could do anything, the god pushed Soobin off him, turning them so that Soobin was against the bookshelves. Vici pushed his arm against Soobin's neck, holding the human's dominant hand with his own hand. Soobin tried to push his arm off with his left hand, but he barely had any strength against the god.

"Don't make an enemy out of me, Choi Soobin, I'll be your worst nightmare," Vici said, a smirk decorating his handsome expressions. Soobin tried to fight back, but could barely do anything. "Just play along, and your pretty face will never get a scratch. I'm sure you've heard from your friend what I'm capable of. I'll either be your greatest friend, or your worst enemy."

"I won't let you take anyone else from me."

Vici smirked, biting his bottom lip ever so slightly. "You're perhaps the cutest human I've ever laid my eyes on. What a sight — especially with that glowing rage. If I was any more of a degenerate, I'd take you right here and now."

"If you mean in a fight, sure."

"Oh, if only it was a fight," Vici chuckled, staring down at Soobin's lips. "The next time we'll meet, I'll have a human name, and your life will be broken further soon. Ryuhyeon's not gone yet, and I'll have a plan to have you soon. I'll take it slow, so you'll suffer a bit more."

Soobin felt Vici's pressure on his neck disappear, and the god's form vanished. He was silent for a moment, wondering if he'd lose his memories like before. Eventually, he trudged out the library with no recollection of what had just happened.
