Ryuhyeon closed the door of her apartment building, bowing as the janitor walked past her as usual. He wlaked into the building and she was left to walk into the quiet parking lot. It was unusual for it to be so empty, and it was rather unsettling.

"Man, Soobin sucks."

Ryuhyeon flinched in shock when someone was suddenly walking beside her. She stopped, covering her mouth in shock. "A-ah, you scared me. H-hello." She managed to bow politely, even with her startled expression. "Can I help you?"

Beside her stood Vici, his eyes flashing red for a moment. "Soobin doesn't seem like the best boyfriend, does he? He doesn't trust you, and he's accusing you of cheating. Doesn't sound like your relationship is working out."

She widened her eyes, frowning before walking on ahead. "He's just a little confused right now. He's too protective of me, so he'd looking for excuses to break me from people."

"Isn't that a little toxic?" Vici asked, making her stop in her tracks. "Soobin just isn't the one for you."

"And how do you know Soobin so well?" Ryuhyeon asked, crossing her arms. "He'll come to his senses soon. I trust Soobin, because I know I'm not cheating on him."

"But what if you are…?"

"What—?"

Vici stepped forward, his eyes brightening its red tone. Ryuhyeon's eyes glowed red as Vici stopped in front of her. "There's a reason that Soobin thinks you're cheating — and it's not necessarily with Lim Jimin. He simply doesn't trust you." He lifted a hand, putting his fingers below her chin to raise her face ever so slightly. "It's because he saw you cheat."

"When?"

"Just now."

Vici leaned downwards, pressing their lips together in a soft kiss. Ryuhyeon felt her insides panic, but her body didn't respond the way she wanted. She kissed the stranger back, tilting her head so that the kiss could grow deeper. Vici grabbed her waist, tugging her against his body and the kiss grew more heated at that action.

'Not even Soobin could kiss me like this…'

Vici pulled away suddenly, letting go of her body completely. "He'll never trust you."

Soobin felt anger bubble inside him at the sight he had just witnessed. He had ignored Ryuhyeon when she called out for him eventually she had stopped, because Soobin knew what he had seen. Their relationship was ruined forever. His suspicions had come true, and there was no way for Ryuhyeon to defend herself after what he had seen.

Soobin arrived at the library alone, contrary to what he he planned for the afternoon, which was to have a make-up date with Ryuhyeon so that they could speak about their relationship — clearly that wouldn't be happening anymore. He didn't know what to do anymore. He didn't even want to know who the man with Ryuhyeon was — basic point was that she was cheating, and they probably had to break up.

"Soobin? Are you okay?"

Soobin looked to his right, seeing his friends Renjun and Sanha. He sighed walking to sit with them at the table. They held looks of concern at Soobin's distressed expression. "I caught Ryuhyeon cheating on me." Renjun covered his mouth and Sanha widened his eyes in shock. Soobin nodded wistfully, even if he was still angry with what he had seen. "The guy looked older than her too. I think I've seen him before, but I can't be too sure."

"Are you sure?" Renjun asked, his tone filled with as much concern as his expression. "You and Ryuhyeon always seemed so happy."

"I thought so too, but she was seeing another guy behind my back," Soobin muttered, crossing his arms. "I saw them sucking face, and that's as much as I can take. I don't even want to talk about it with her. I know I'd just break my heart further."

Sanha, unlike his usual childish antics, genuinely felt bad for his friend. While he'd like to make a joke to lighten the mood, Soobin seemed far too upset. "Why don't you just ask her first instead of, uh… assuming that…"

"Assuming that she's cheating?"

"What if she's just confused?" Sanha asked. "You guys have been fighting for a couple weeks now, and I think she just did what she did to escspe the constant fighting. I mean, you did assault her best friend and didn't even apologise."

"Doesn't erase the fact that Soobin caught her with another guy," Renjun muttered, shaking his head. Soobin met his eyes and caught a slight shade of red in their usual brown tone. "A friend told me that you two weren't that happy recently, anyways. Maybe… it's the end."

Soobin was still, trying to proceed with his words carefully. "W… which friend?"

"Oh, don't worry," Renjun said with a slight smile. "Besides, there are other fish in the sea. Maybe it's time to move on."

"He loved Ryuhyeon for years, idiot, it won't be so easy," Sanha said, hitting Renjun's arm slightly. "It's not like you to recommend something so reckless…"

"I'm just saying — it's pathetic to watch them go on like this," Renjun said, hitting Sanha back. "Soobin, I think it's time you and… Ryuhyeon end things."

Soobin sighed heavily, thinking about Renjun's words. He could see the red tint in his gaze, and he knew something was up. Somehow he knew he had to break up with Ryuhyeon. He definitely still loved her, and it wasn't a far stretch to say that she most likely still loved him.

But Renjun was right.

"I'll speak to her soon," Soobin muttered. "For the record, Renjun — really, which friend told you we weren't happy?"

Renjun shrugged, a small smile decorating his expression. "Ah, a new friend I made — Choi Yeonjun."
