Soobin was studying in the library alone, as per any other day, and had nothing more than one more lecture to attend before he was free for the entire day. He was doing research for an upcoming essay he had to write, and wanted to get his materials out the way as quickly as possible. The library barely had anyone in it, and he was able to study in peace with his earphones.

That is, until Yeonjun arrived.

"You look like such a loner without your friends here."

Soobin looked across from his seat, his expression remaining blank. "Why are you here? How are you always on school grounds?"

"I'm a god," was Yeonjun's simple answer earning an eyeroll from the other. Yeonjun stared for a moment as Soobin continued studying, looking up at the book in front of him once in a while to jot something down on the yellow-tinted notepad in front of him. "What are you doing?"

"Work, now leave me alone," Soobin muttered, putting his second earphone in. Yeonjun pouted slightly, upset that Soobin was ignoring him. Soobin became bothered with Yeonjun's constant staring and took his earphones out with a groan and putting them into the charging container. "What do you want?"

"You agreed to comply," Yeonjun said, crossing his arms. "By that, it means that you'll down whatever I want to make me fall for you in the human way, instead of… ruining your life."

Soobin raised an eyebrow before stifling a laugh, covering his mouth with his hand. "Make you fall for me? I know I'm hot, but I'm literally so uncharismatic when you ask me on purpose. Ask Ryuhyeon why she fell for me."

"Are you over her?"

Soobin stopped smiling, looking at his phone with a sigh. "I'm… doing okay. I mean… I definitely miss her, but… less than I thought I'd miss her? Not sure how to explain it."

Yeonjun smiled softly. "So there's some space in your heart for me."

Soobin looked away, feeling his cheeks turning red ever so slightly. "M-maybe stuff like that will work."

"Stuff like what?"

"Stuff that will move me, you know? I'm genuinely a sucker for flirting," Soobin admitted with a laugh. "I'm quite gentle when it comes to relationships, so forcing youself on me won't work. I'll just hate you."

"Oh, please hate me, I'd love to ruin your life further," Yeonjun chuckled, resting his head on his hand while propping up his arm by his elbow. "Human sentiment is a foreign world me. I know what to do, but the steps there sre unusual because every human is different. I don't know how to deal with you yet. What do you like, besides flirting?"

Soobin sighed, looking down again. He didn't want to open up to a literal god, but Yeonjun would probably make everyone hate him if he didn't comply. He seemed like the type to overreact if something like that happened. He didn't want to make it seem like he was moving on from Ryuhyeon so quickly, either — and with a guy, too. He wasn't sure if he liked guys, but gods transcended gender — maybe he could convince Yeonjun to take the form of a girl. He didn't mind guys, but he was used to girls.

"Hey, hyung," Soobin muttered, "can you, uh… be a girl rather?"

"No. I get to be the top when I'm a guy."

"Hey! No fair! Be a girl sometimes."

"Just top me as a guy, coward," Yeonjun scoffed, rolling his eyes. "I don't mind it. Either way, I get to have you. Maybe our first time, you can top because I don't care."

"Stop thinking so far."

"I can only think so far."

"Perv," Soobin muttered, rolling his eyes. "Get your head out the gutter. Anyways… another thing you can do is get to know me first."

"I know everything about you," Yeonjun said, folding his arms. "And you know everything about me. I know you're reading." Soobin muttered a soft 'damn it' under his breath and Yeonjun laughed slightly. "Let's just skip that part. Since I don't ask for things as a god, you're mine now."

"You can't just 'have' me, I'm not an object," Soobin said, thinning his eyes in exasperation. "Honestly, you make me so tired. Being human must be so difficult for you."

"I'm only human to kiss you."

"S-shut up."

"I'm guessing that one worked."

Soobin scoffed, pushing his books together to put them into his backpack. "I said shut up. Anyways, let's go. I think we're making a noise."

"I put a noise barrier around us, no one can hear us, it all sounds like whispers," Yeonjun said. "That's why no one heard our fight that day. Oh wait, you won't remember because I erased your memory."

Soobin picked his backpack regardless and they began walking out the library side by side. "I noticed Renjun unblocked me. Thanks, hyung."

"No problem," Yeonjun smiled, bumping Soobin with his shoulder. "While my calling is destruction and dismay, maybe keeping you happy will be better. You're the one human I like. A very pretty human boy named Choi Soobin — what a dream."

Soobin chuckled slightly. "Okay, dial it down a bit, you're getting excited."

"Of course I am, this is the longest time we spent together," Yeonjun said with a smile. "I thought your words of hatred were amazing, but your smile… it's so pret—" Yeonjun suddenly stopped, his smile falling slightly. He suddenly grabbed Soobin's hand. "Ryuhyeon is nearby."

"What? Where—?"

Yeonjun grabbed his hand tighter, his smile almost gone entirely. "Don't worry, just… move on. Please."

Soobin was shocked. Yeonjun had told him that he as a god didn't ask for things, but here he was, using such a desperate tone. He couldn't believe that Yeonjun had broken himself just for Soobin to listen. He looked at their intertwined hands as they walked, thinking that maybe avoiding Ryuhyeon was for the best.

After all, he agreed to comply.
