"Hey, baby."

Soobin looked to his right, frowning when a black-haired male sat beside him. "Baby? I'm very sorry, but I think you got the wrong person—"

"Don't talk nonsense, Soobin-ah. It's me — the one that will love you forever."

Soobin was quiet for a bit, thinning his eyes in thought. He suddenly gasped a bit too loudly, but for some reason, no students turned to look at him in annoyance. "Y-you're the god! You're Vici…!"

"Hey, we're in a library, quiet down," the boy said with a little chuckle. "I'm called Yeonjun now — I have a persona on Earth. I must day, you're rather pretty today. Did you do something with your hair?"

"Why are you here? Why are you talking to me? Oh my God, were you the one that made Ryuhyeon—?"

"Right, I erased your memory of our encounters," Yeonjun hummed, crossing his arms. "I won't be erasing it anymore. You're the only one that will remember that I'm a god from now on. However, you'll never know my intentions anymore — only that I'll do everything in my power to make you mine."

Soobin watched as the god-like human leaned on his arms, smiling playfully at him. "Yeonjun… why me?"

"Ah, hyung — I'm older than you," Yeonjun said winking as he clicked his tongue. "Why specifically you, I don't know. You're just… pretty. You have a nice soul." Soobin was quiet, not knowing what else to say. He had no recollection of their encounters, so he had nothing to be upset about. "Your friend Renjun likes me."

"Renjun? He's never liked guys before," Soobin commented with a frown. "Then again, I never questioned his sexuality…"

"However," Yeonjun continued, "he believes that you like me. I told him we met, and… hit it off. The thing is, he really likes me — to the point he'd do anything for me. If I wanted him to break ties with you, he probably would. He's got a sweet soul, possessing only some hints of envy and lust — for who, I wonder. Probably me."

"But I don't even know you," Soobin frowned. "Why would I even like you?"

Yeonnun smirked, his eyes glowing red. "Because I'll tear everyone away from you until I'm the only one you'll love." He leaned towards Soobin, their faces mere centimetres apart. Soobin could barely move, his body almost frozen in place. He gulped, closing his eyes tightly until their lips almost made contact.

But they never did.

Yeonjun chuckled, moving away from the human. "I'm sure he's jealous enough now, knowing that one of his close friends is trying to take away his love interest."

"What are you doing to Renjun?" Soobin asked suddenly. "Whatever you're doing, he doesn't deserve it. I'm not interested in you, stop lying to him."

"Oh, but I'm not lying to him," Yeonjun chuckled, standing up from his seat. "You're lying to him. You'll lose your friend to jealousy and hatred. He'll hate you, just like you hate Ryuhyeon."

"That's not true — I still love her."

"But you've broken up and lost all contact — you're alone now, as you'll remain as you play by my plans," Yeonjun chuckled leaning down. "Renjun will grow to hate you — all I have to do is choose you."

"Leave Renjun out of this," Soobin hissed angrily. "Stop targeting them. I'll do whatever you want me to do."

Yeonjun chuckled as he began walking away towards the library exit. "But that's no fun, baby."

Days passed since Soobin saw either Renjun or Vici (or as his human persona was named, Yeonjun), and Soobin grew concerned. He had no idea what the god was planning at that point, and was filled with anxiety since. He had no idea what Yeonjun had planned, but he knew things would fall apart.

He honestly didn't expect it in that way.

He was on his way from a cafe and caught sight of Yeonjun just outside. For some reason, he felt some relief because he'd get some closure as to what was happening and why eveything was so quiet in his life. He rushed out after getting his things together, but the god was gone.

"Vici…"

"I told you to call me Yeonjun, baby."

Soobin yelped out in shock, covering his mouth when he saw Yeonjun beside him. "Yeonjun h-hyung. You're here."

"Of course — human time travels so slowly, so I return home sometimes for some time to pass," Yeonjun replied. "I don't have anything malicious planned for today, though. Let's just take a walk. You're headed home, so I'll walk with you."

Soobin glanced down at his hands, sensing that he really was just innocently standing in front of him. He was still wary. Nonetheless, he nodded and Yeonjun smiled brightly before they started their journey to Soobin's apartment. The student was careful, his anxiety to the point that he'd become suspicious if Yeonjun looked to his sides.

"Why do you suddenly want to walk with me? I swear, you're planning something," Soobin eventually commented, crossing his arms.

"I'm not doing anything," Yeonjun chuckled, pocketing his hands. "I just want to be with you right now. I want you, after all. I genuinely mean it — I'm not doing anything. I just want to… casually converse. If nothing's happening, I can always make something happen."

"No, that's fine," Soobin said quickly. Their walk fell silent as they walked into the more residential areas. Less people moved around until it got to some points where there were all alone walking together. "Uhm… where's Renjun?"

"Renjunnie? Oh, he's… somewhere, I guess," Yeonjun smiled. "He's a cute guy, by the way. Filled with jealousy. It's his only flaw, though. I was able to use it effectively, though. You'll see him soon."

"What does that mean?"

"You'll see him one last time before he leaves you forever."

Soobin widened his eyes, stopping in his tracks. Yeonjun stopped a few metres away, giving an ominous smile to the human. Soobin gulped nervously, wondering what Yeonjun could be planning. "Don't hurt him."

"Pray that he doesn't hurt you, baby."

"Please, just leave Renjun alone — I swear, I'll do whatever you want for me."

"Oh, but I can't witness destruction," Yeonjun began as he began fading, "if I wasn't the god of disharmony."
