"I'm not cheating on you, you dumbass!"
"Then why were you with Lim Jimin?!"
"We were doing homework!"
"Yeah, homework — you don't even have the same major!"
Ryuhyeon huffed, crossing her arms in front of her. "Why are you suddenly so skeptical? You suddenly just want to accuse me of cheating? Out of nowhere? Why? Who told you I was cheating?"
Soobin stuttered, not knowing what to say. He didn't have any recollection as to knowing who could have told him Ryuhyeon was cheating, but he somehow had the idea even if he never had the thought before. "I j-just… I don't trust you."
Ryuhyeon widened her eyes, dropping her hands by her sides. "You don't trust me, huh? So why have we dated for so long? Almost 2 years? Was it all for naught? Just for you to not trust me and accuse me of cheating?"
"Ryu, I don't know what to think, okay?!" Soobin yelled. "You've just been gone so often these days, spending time with him — I'm beginning to think you enjoy being with him."
"You idiot, you're my boyfriend," Ryuhyeon said softly, putting a hand to his cheek. "I love you, okay? I want to be with you. Never mind Lim Jimin — we're nothing more than friends. And study buddies, I guess, but that's all there is to it. If you'd like, we can start studying together more often."
Soobin sighed heavily, pouting his lips. "Isn't he more attractive than me…? I think you enjoy being seen with him…"
"Hey, stop that," Ryuhyeon giggled, kissing his cheek softly. "You need to cool your head. Let's go get some coffee and go on a walk — I think you need it."

Vici scoffed, rolling his eyes before walking off to the side. "She really won't be convinced, huh? How annoying…"
"Because she's faithful to her boyfriend and you're just a meddling pest," Veni snapped, glaring at their brother. "Gods are not supposed to meddle, even if they are above humans. Your purpose is nothing but burden."
"How can I be a god of negativity when I can't inflict negativity?" Vici muttered, crossing his arms. "I'm supposed to be a god of disturbance and disharmony — I'm supposed to cause chaos."
"More work for Vici and I, I suppose," Veni sighed, shaking their head. "Hundreds of years ago, you were one of peace — one to protect the earth. What a pity. It's not too late to return to your old ways, brother."
"Earth no longer needs a god-like protector," Vici said, crossing his arms. "I was the protector of godlike enemies, but Earth grew beyond the need for my defence. They're powerful on their own — all humans together have the power of a god. Come the call for it, I'll return — but for now, I enjoy playing around."
"Inside, you are still the god of protection," Veni said, striding past Vici gracefully. "Your boredom has formed this alternate side to you — this one of disturbance. Since there is nothing to protect, you have decided to cause trouble. You are untrue to yourself, Vici. You act in anger of Earth learning to defend itself against heavenly enemies."
Vici was quiet before scoffing, walking away from Veni in annoyance. "They no longer need me. I'll make them need me — one person at a time."
"When they do need you," Veni said, "I hope you act in love for them, and not spite them for abandoning you as a god."
Vici chuckled, looking down upon the earth with a smirk. "We'll see."

"Gods…?"
"These gods exist silently in the background of earth's passing time," the boy beside Soobin explained in slight excitement, clearly in a frenzy to explain the new information he had learnt. "Only calling upon these gods will summon them, and they can only called for their intended purpose. The most well-known god is Veni, the god of contentment, happiness and peace. The second is Vidi, the god of justice, honesty and truth. They are part of a trio, the third god being Vici."
"Their names sound weird."
"Of course, they'd sound weird, Soobin," Seokhwa said, crossing his arms. "And can you listen? I'm using you to study."
"Right, sorry."
"The third god is the lost god, Vici," Seokhwa continued. "Vici was once the god of heavenly protection, weaponry and strength — a truly formidable god. He used to protect the earth from heavenly beings sent by Evil One, Animus. However, humans developed technology and produced so many of it that they could defeat these creatures and monsters on their own — until they no longer needed Vici."
Soobin was actually listening at that point, and was frowning as Seokhwa spoke. "So humans drove a god jobless? What happened to this lost god?"
"He became a god revelry. He's now Vici, the god of disharmony and discord, the complete opposite of his siblings. It's said that he takes human forms, whispering words of bad deeds to humans in order to stir up trouble, slowly causing chaos. It's said that he has turned to those ways because the humans no longer believed in him for protection from Animus."
"Words of bad deeds…" Soobin widened his eyes, suddenly grabbing Seokhwa's wrist. "I've met him! Seokhwa, I met a god! I spoke to him! He tried to get me to… a-argue with Ryuhyeon or something…! He told me she was cheating or something, and… dude, I spoke to a god!"
"Soobin, calm down," Seokhwa said quickly. "How do you know it was him?"
"He erased my nemory, but I just remembered because you spoke about him," Soobin explained. "Is a god really trying to break us up…?"
"There's no way you met Vici — they're most likely just myths," Seokhwa frowned. "Even if they really, truly, honestly existed — why target you? What makes you special?"
Soobin looked at his wrists, thinking of that god's red glowing eyes. "He… said he'll make me his…"
