Chapter 3: For The First Time

Danny

I couldn't wait to meet Kay after the show. Jessie and Will were teasing me. Tom said to me that I should ignore them. Tom is always supporting me when it comes to girls. It's hard for me to find girls, people say to me all the time that I have it easy when it comes to girls, you know, being a part of a famous band and all, but it's not true. I had a 4 years relationship with a girl I loved and that is it, here and there I had some one night stands. I have needs too. But now I needed more.

Finally the show was over and I was sitting in my dressing room waiting inpatient on her. 'You like this girl', Tom said while he was entering my dressing room. I was disappointed that it was Tom because I was waiting on her to show up. Tom saw my face and laughed. 'I go, good luck Dan, she will come, she will be a fool not to', Tom said. 'Thank you Tom', I said with a smile.

I heard a knock. My heart jumped. Was it her? It was my bodyguard. 'Are you ready to go Dan?', he asked. 'I... I am actually waiting for someone', I said disappointed. 'Come on Danny, she is not going to be there, you see her tomorrow', Jack said. (Jack is my bodyguard and one of my best friends). Right when he said that I heard footsteps and a voice asking where my dressing room is. There she was right around the corner. Kay.

'Hai', I said within one breath. 'Hai', she said back really shy. What in earth was going on with me. Why was I broken down like a kid, not knowing the words to say to her. Then I just reached out my hand to her not knowing weather she would take it or not. 'Come with me?', I asked. She smiled and nodded. She grabbed my hand and we sneaked out of the back of the studio's. She was holding on tight. 'Cool bike', she said with a smile at my motor. 'Can I take you for a ride, somewhere private?', I asked. 'I would love to', she said. My stomach was acting really weird. I gave her a safety helm and put on mine. She went to sit on the backseat and we drove towards Hyde Park. In the heart of London but yet again private. It was night time and she was holding on tight to my stomach while we were driving. My bodyguard was driving right behind me.

We stopped the motor and I helped her getting off it. She looked at me with question marks on her face. I still couldn't respond on her questions. I can understand why she has question marks written all over her face. I was sure that I had them to.

She was the one who took the first step by letting her hand softly slide into mine as we walked in silence. It wasn't really an awkward silence, but neither of us knew what to say really. I was leading her towards one of my favourite spots to be. Eventually we sat down on the grass. I offered her my coat so she wouldn't be cold.

'Are you happy with the result of you being on team Danny?', I asked breaking the silence. She smiled and started talking. 'Yeah I am really happy that you turned around, there was only one person in my mind from the start of all of this, that was you, since I am a massive fan from The Script', she said. I smiled. 'What's your favourite song?', I asked. 'Breakeven, I know, classic, but it's still one of the most beautiful songs ever written', she said. 'Well thank you, a lot of heartbreak was coming from this song', I said. 'Only a good heartbreak can write a good song, and only true happiness', she said. 'True, so true, you can only write with emotion', I said. 'Why did you picked me?', she asked suddenly. 'Ehm?', I asked. 'To come with you, I am just Kay, a normal, almost boring girl you know', she said. 'Kay... you are anything but boring, I am glad I bumped into you last night', I said. 'Really, well I am glad you did as well', Kay said.

We let our heads rest on the grass and looked at the stars. Yes you actually have stars in London, not many, but still.

Kay

I couldn't believe it, here I was, laying on the grass with Danny O'Donoghue, he is so sweet and so shy, we were watching the stars together. I turned my face around and looked at him instead of the stars. The stars I could see every day, him not. Danny noticed that my head was turned and he turned his face to me as well.

The butterflies in my stomach started to fly free when he stroke for a second trough my hair. 'We... ehm I need to go, I think, it's getting late', I said, not exactly knowing why I said it and I felt really stupid afterwards. 'Oh', Danny said not moving. 'Tomorrow is a busy day right?', I said. 'Right, I'm sorry I am always the one waiting on a cue to go', Danny said with a smile. 'That is fine, I love that about you', I said. Oh shit, did I really just said that. 'I love that about you', really, that is so cheesy, were is the Kay I know!

Danny brought me back home like a real gentleman. I had my hands around his hips again and was holding him tight, never letting go. My head was all fuzzy and my stomach was acting weird. My heart was going really fast like a hummingbird so fast.

He stopped right around the corner. Told me he didn't want to make an entrance or coming across screaming girls.

'I loved tonight Danny, I really did', I said with a smile. 'I loved tonight as well, can... can I call ya?', Danny asked. 'You better have my number then right, only if I can have yours', I said with a smile. Danny laughed and we exchanged numbers. 'You know, as a fan you are different then the other stalking girls', Danny said. 'It's because I am not that girl', I said. 'No you are different, special to me', Danny said. My heart jumped when he said that. 'You are one of a kind yourself Danny', I said with a smile. 'Can I pick you up tomorrow morning?', Danny asked. 'For The Voice?', I asked. 'Yeah well, maybe we can grab some breakfast with coffee before', Danny asked. 'Are you asking me out?', I asked. 'Maybe', Danny said with a smile. He was using my line from last night. I laughed. 'Pick me up at nine o'clock, don't be late', I warned. 'I promise I won't', Danny said. 'Goodnight Danny', I said with a smile. 'Goodnight Kay', Danny said smiling back at me.

I was walking away when I heard fast footsteps behind me. 'Danny what...', I started. Without a warning he kissed me. His lips were passionate and tasted really good. I put my arms around his neck and leaned all in for my first kiss. I closed my eyes and he slowly let me go. 'I wanted to do this from the moment we met, I'm sorry if I overstepped my...', Danny said. 'Didn't me returning the kiss send you a message that I want the same as you, you just made my first kiss the best thing that ever happened in my life', I said. 'Your first kiss?', Danny asked. I nodded slightly embarrassed. 'You never?', Danny asked surprised. I shook my head. 'But you are really a beautiful girl, how...', Danny asked. 'I don't know Danny, I think I was just waiting for the right man', I said. 'Like I said, you are a special girl', Danny said. My heart warmed up when he said that.

We said goodbye. It was hard for me to say goodbye to him, I couldn't wait to see him tomorrow morning. He needed to catch some sleep and he said to me that I needed to catch some sleep as well. I sneaked in Leilah's house. But the sneaky part was totally not needed.

'Where have you been?', my mum asked worried. 'I... oh my god mum, I'm so sorry I didn't let you know, but I was with Danny all night, I...', I started. 'Wait, all night?', Leilah said confused. 'Yeah, we were looking at the stars in Hyde Park, he took me for a ride on his motor, we talked for hours and sat in silence', I said. 'You've been kissed my girl, I can see it in your eyes', my mum said with a smile. She wasn't mad anymore about me being late. 'Danny kissed ya?', Leilah asked. I nodded. Leilah screamed and jumped in my arms. 'Oh girl finally, the song 'For The First Time' is matching with you so much', Leilah said. 'I'm going to bed, daydreaming okay, I want some time with my thoughts, Danny is coming to pick me up in the morning for breakfast and then we are going to the BBC studio's for the battles', I said. 'Aaaaw my little girl is finally growing up', Leilah smiled.

I went upstairs and checked my phone while I was on my bed. I had an text from Danny.

I miss you already girl. x D.

I texted right back.

I miss you too Danny boy, don't stay up too late. Sleep well. x K.

I got one right back.

I go to sleep if you go to sleep. x D

I shook my head and smiled. He needs to sleep. With my mind filled with Danny I fell asleep dreaming about him.
