The sun was slowly setting on the town, leading it to darkness and poorly lit streets. As their car rumbled down the road, the engine purring, they began to see the Mayor's house not too far off in the distance. They parked on the opposite side of the street and waited for six pm to dock. Bronson's alarm struck and they left the car and rushed to the house. The prison doctor stood around the back of the house, he looked scared. They slowly approached him, hands ready to pull out their guns if necessary; "Doctor? Are you ok?" His head and eyes darted for them and his head nodded. His hands slid for his pockets and the door behind him burst open; "Shit." The Janitor mumbled as he looked towards Logan and Bronson. "Snake!" Bronson said snapping his gun out of his holster. "Surprise." He replied sarcastically, waving his hands. "You got my note then? Well, this is where it all begins. If you have any questions, please, ask away." He said folding his arms. "Why is the Doctor here?" Was Logan's first question and the Doctor answered; "Snake has been my most interesting client and I adore his work. When he and Theresa started that business I was his first payer. I stopped paying him because I doubted his survival and now he is making me start off his anarchy. After I have fulfilled my purpose, I will die." He said, his voice shaky and worried. His eyes wobbled in fear and Snake slapped him. "Serves you right. Any more?" "Plans? What are they?" Bronson snapped back instantly. Snake shook his head; "You'll find out soon enough, trust me." Logan looked at Bronson then back to Snake; "Why did you let out Kaine? Why did you leave the Rioters sign back at the last robbery? Why did you reference to the riots?" Snake tapped his chin in thought and replied after a while; "Kaine was a distraction, a mere sacrifice to the grand scheme of things. I needed him to draw your attention away whilst I infiltrated Moon Industries. The Rioters references, well they were just to make you believe something that wasn't. Throw you off the track." He laughed. His fingers clicked together and the Doctor lit a match. The flame sizzled and crackled on the thin top of the stick. The Doctor threw it to the ground and a piece of string was lit up. The flame sizzled down the string and entered the building; "And so it begins." Snake smirked. He looked at the Doctor and quickly snapped his neck. Bronson and Logan were too shocked to pull the trigger and the house lit up with crackling flames. Snake disappeared and they ran away quickly, before the flames killed them.
"I need to leave Bronson. I'm sorry." He said as he entered the car and left Bronson on the pavement. Bronson nodded and waved as the car vanished into the distance, smoke trailing behind it.
