Despite what Fischl and Barbara said, rumors don't really spread about Venti and him being in a relationship. Aether is thankful about it, since he isn't ready to be questioned by everyone about a relationship he doesn't have. It was bad enough already being that 'male omega' everyone always talked about. Those rumors would only worsen it.

He does get even closer to Venti though, and it not like he can help it. The beta is just too good at making Aether feel wanted all the time. Unlike the alphas that only want him for one thing, Venti seems like he actually likes him for more than his looks despite how they initially met.

He always sends him good morning and good night texts, and asks him if everything is okay and if he needs help with any work. Which Aether really likes.

Today, the omega wakes up feeling a bit weird. He can't really explain it but his skin feels a little too warm. Was he getting sick? Maybe I just ate something bad yesterday..

Lumine cooked for them last night since their parents wouldn't be home until midnight. Aether is also usually the one to cook for them but that night his sister offers and he feels too tired so he agrees. Maybe he should've insisted in doing it instead...

In the bus he feels a bit better though so he doesn't mention it, and Lumine is too distracted watching anime on her phone anyways. That's until a text message pops up at the top of her screen and she instantly clicks on it and smiles.

Ugh.. so disgusting.

Is this how she feels when she sees him with guys?

The bus stops and Aether snatches her phone and makes a run for it with a laugh. He thinks she's too shocked to react because he doesn't hear her behind him for a while. That's until he takes a glance on the text and sees GINGER at the top for the name.

He doesn't get a chance to see anything else as Lumine snatches it back with a huff.

"You invited a boy to our house." He says with a mock disgusted expression in his face, "That's so... disturbing. Now I know how you feel."

"Shut up! I invited him as a friend okay." She shoves him, "I should smack you for reading through my messages."

Aether pouts, "I was just curious. I'm sorry."

"Agh. You're lucky you're cute." She smiles and pinches his cheek, but extra hard.

"—ow!" He goes to slap her hand away but she pulls it away just as quick and gives him a smirk. It did hurt but it still makes him happy to be having this moment with his sister despite what happened in the past. It feels... refreshing. Like it's meant to be like this.

"Okay now I forgive you."

She dashes away before he can complain but before he can follow after her, arms wrap around his waist and pull him against a solid chest.

"Hello babe~ I know you missed me." Venti's flirtatious voice is next to his ear as the beta rests his chin on his shoulder with a smile.

The omega feels his cheeks get warm as he shoves the other male away, "Stop that. You're gonna make people think we are actually dating if you call me that."
