There's muffled sounds of someone talking. They sound panicked and somehow he can feel them tapping on his cheek and shaking him lightly.

"A...er... ...by... wa...e...up! Pl...se!"

He slowly blinks his eyes open, wincing at the bright light coming from the bathroom's lightbulb.

"Oh my god. Aether! You keep scaring the crap out of your mother!" His mom seems to be crying while holding onto him. "We need to take you to the hospital, right now!"

"Hos...pital?" Aether slowly sits up, and everything from before slowly starts setting in. The pregnancy tests.

His face suddenly turns paler than it already was.

"I'm... pregnant?"

No... there's no way...

"I'm so sorry." His mom holds him tightly. "I accidentally saw them when I saw you on the floor, I swear I didn't meant to." He can feel her snot on his cheek.

"Mom.... Where they positive? Am I really pregnant?"

"Oh.. goodness no! Sorry sweetie." She pulls away, cleaning her face with her shirt. "I got snot all over you."

"Mom!" He stares at her desperately.

"You're not thank goodness. I'm like seriously not ready to be a grandma. I'm too young for that bullshit!"

He calms down a bit but can't help but judge his mom for how she comforts her own child during such a serious moment. But... it has helped him level down a bit.

"Mom please... what if I was pregnant? Would you hate me?" He looks down at his lap.

She finally looks at him with seriousness. "Oh baby of course I wouldn't hate you. I would support you either way. You know I'm only joking around. But you are still too young you know that? You have to enjoy your youth while you have it. Kids ruin that I won't lie to you. So just consider everything before you decide to have them, alright?"

"I don't want them." He shakes his head. "I just wanted to know what you would think. I'm not ready either."

"That's good to know." She smiles at him. "Do you want to go get yourself checked though? It's pretty serious if it has you passing out like that."

He shakes his head. "I think I was just a little too stressed... from school and all." He looks away after lying.

"Oh sweetie..." she frowns. "I think you should still go just to make sure. If it's anxiety or stress there's medication for that too. Please just go for me?"

Aether looks at how worried his mom looks and hesitates for a few seconds but ends up agreeing to go.

They end up prescribing him medication for his sudden anxiety that was causing his stomach aches and fainting spells, but the doctor lets him know that he can't take both birth control and the new prescription so he'll have to pause from taking the former.

"It's not usually a concern but for an omega with your stress levels plus the hormone changes with the birth control it might trigger sudden heats or can also delay them an unhealthy amount which might cause infertility in the future. I'm letting you know this so you can know the effects and in case you plan to have a biological child in the future."

His family doctor has sat him down to talk to him about the details and his mom is there as emotional support and to also know what her son is getting prescribed.
