Screeches startled you as you rose from the couch in exhaustion rubbing your eyes to awake you. Sunlight poured onto the floor in front of you from the kitchen window giving a slight warmth to your uncovered legs. Pushing your feet off the other end of the couch you immediately felt the cold hard wood floor under you bare feet awakening your half asleep self. Grabbing the cold door to your room rushed a cold feeling of goosebumps down you arm making your hairs rise. The door creaked open as you entered your room to grab your clothing and a small towel to head to the hot springs to cleanse before you had to do your mission with the Tenryou Commissions with the unknown portal at Araumi. Leaving your room slowly you slipped on your sandals to walk to the hot springs not far from your home. Children chased each other as you tried to dodge them all to not drop your belongings before you got to the hot springs. Nearing the entrance of the hot springs the tall thick doors opened as a man opened it from the other side. Giving a quick glance at the man you see the same ginger locks from the man the day before at the dango milk cart. Passing him a chill got sent down your back unexpectedly. Ignoring the recognizable ginger man you entered the hot springs completely forgetting about the man entirely. Nearing the water you placed your clothing on a nearby rock as you slipped your clothing off one by one throwing them on that same rock. Dipping your foot in the water you felt the warmness envelop your body like a wave of calmness. Slowly entering the hot springs nude you grab your soap and hand and start cleansing your self of any dirt from yesterday and days before. Washing the soap off you felt that it was time to leave the hot springs and continue the missions for Sara. Grabbing the towel from the rock you quickly dried your hair before you left the water and dried every limb as you slowly exited the water. Slipping on your new pair of clothing and sandals you grabbed your clothes and wet towel to wash at your house and hang them to dry before you left. Entering your home you grabbed a bucket from the kitchen and filled it with water from the stream behind your house. Placing your clothes in the water you scrubbed vigorously too get out and dirt or sweat stains from anything you did whilst wearing them. Wringing the clothing from water you moved to the front of the house to hang the damp clothing to blow in the early morning wind to dry. Massaging your hands of the cramps you decided it was now time to meet with Sara for the strange mission. Slowly exiting the house with your proper equipment for the day in hand you started your journey to Araumi. Leaving the vibrant city of Inazuma it was the time too journey across the island avoiding many hilichurls, nobushis, and kairagis on the way countlessly speeding away to avoid combat. Crossing the tall hilly terrain injuring your feet countless of time as climbing became common on your journey to talk to Sara and the Tenryou Commission guards. Before fully making it to the ruins you needed the arrive at, an orange head popped in the corner of your eye but before you could get a full glimpse it disappeared into nothingness. Memories of the ginger popped in your head as if he was haunting your every thought and move. Shaking off his presence you continued walking to the destination in front of you. Stepping near a guard he noticed your presence and notified the upper commander, Sara. Swiftly walking over to you and the guard she seemed relived  you showed up but stress was still painted on her face like a mask.

"Traveler, I'm so glad you arrived at this time. Monsters form the portal have been constantly spewing out and most of our guards are heavily injured to say the least." Passing her you followed the passing guards carrying injured guards with stab wounds and burn mark all across their body and no uncovered skin was shown. A Sense of disgust washed over you giving you a chill across your back. Continuing your walk to the unknown portal you see the blue gateway shining like the night sky in the noon sun. Stepping forward with confidence in your step your stand face to face with the portal staring it down. Before any thought could be thought of inside your puzzle of a mind, shutting your eyes tightly you entered into the blue door without any hesitation of movement. Stumbling in your slammed against something hard causing you and the thing to slam against the wooden floor with a thud. Shutting your eyes tight and kneeling on your knees you place your hand on your forehead cradling the pain giving slight 'ows' as the pain slowly went away. Before you took in your surroundings the first thing that caught you out of our haze was the silent groans of another deep voice in where you are causing you to open your eyes in fear and shock. As your eyes where agape you took in what was in front of you, a person familiar gray clothing, red scarf, and orange hair. As realization struck on who it was you pushed away from the figure with a quick push of you feet with fear and surprise. The person heard your shuffle behind him as he turned his head slightly startled with arm cradling his lower back out of pain. You both made eye contact as his eye widened with surprise from the sight of you, his mouth slightly agape.

"You... From the dango milk cart..." He made the realization turning his body fully facing towards you and pointing his unused hand towards you. "Wait, wait, wait..." he continued speaking after you where sure recognizing you from the dango milk cart was the only thing he was gonna say.

"You're... You're... also that other traveler aren't you?" He got excited as he moved onto his knees other then his ass still holding his back "I've heard so many things about you, I didn't even realize you where the traveler at the dango milk cart!" He smiled as he got closer to you shuffling his knees to move

"Woah, slow down" It seemed as if you've just caught your breath from running on a race track " I don't even know who you are, I only know you from the dango milk cart" you raised your hand motioning for him to 'stop'. A look of sudden realization hit him hard

"OH! I'm so sorry I forgot, I'm Childe number eleven of the-" He seemed to have stopped himself before he continued any farther with is introduction. He shook off what he was going to say and got up lending his hand to you. "Anyways... What are you even doing here?" Childe asked pulling you up swiftly with ease.

"I could ask you the same thing" Childe laughed in return "I was commissioned by the Tenryou commission to investigate this portal thing but from what I've seen was coming in here was you." Childe gave another chuckle from what you said as if what you where saying was a joke but all you could do was give a slight frown of irritance from him laughing at you.

"So why are you here, Childe?" You ask shutting up his laughter causing his face to go deadpan and a tad bit paler then he already was.

"Uhm well I was.. ALSO... was commissioned, by the... Tenryou Commission..." Childe said slightly nodding his head to back up his slowly said statement. You nod as you pushed past him gently to look at you surrounding more clearly then in a corner with the newly introduced Childe. Looking around you focused on everything around you seeing old weathered wall and floor boarding and stacks and stacks of scattered stained paper in every corner and edge of the room. Walking forward you kneeled slightly too look at the multiple slips of paper laying on the floor, grabbing a piece you examined the top and bottom trying to read what was said on the small slips.

"When I was killing things in this room those things appeared as soon as they die" He came up beside you bending over to see the slip you where looking at and examining. "Its strange, I've never seen anything like this before and I've been almost everywhere." Childe stood back up and turning around to look at the room with you looking behind boxes, in boxes, and under piles of dirty paper.

After multiple minutes you seemed to have given up from trying to find the secret behind the labyrinth you've both entered at the same time, from Childes statement of the slips of paper falling from monsters nothing added up. Standing up fully you looked at Childe still digging around in the pile of papers like a dog digging in dirt looking for treasure. You find a nearby crate to sit on that you already looked through eyeing Childe who soon stood straight on his knees and stared back at your staring.

"Have you found anything Y/N?" He asks cocking his head a bit from asking his question towards you. You cross your arms and shake your head defeat from looking in the dirty room for any other way through the labyrinth causing Childe to slightly frown but continuing looking for any way out. Silence for a few seconds until the ginger said something from across the room in a confident tone.

"IVE FOUND SOMETHING" Your eyes dart up from the floor darting to Childe and quickly hopping off the crate. You rush over bending over where Childe was bent over looking at the floor surrounded by the dirty paper slips. Making out what you saw the image of a small lever came into view causing your eyes to glow with anticipation.

"Should I pull it?"
