Your words halted from escaping your mouth as his confession startled you to your core. The day you never ever thought would come was in your grasp practically already in your fingertips. His words made your heart beat and your ears turn a shade of red out of surprise. It seemed as if everything slowly passed as Childe was anxiously waiting for your answer to what he had too say, who knew if he was being satire.
     "I-I-I" you tried too force your thoughts into words but all you could say was stuttering and incoherent noises. Taking a sharp breath you prepared yourself for your response back too childe not wasting anytime.
      "Childe. I love... you too." You knew now your words could not be taken back as you knew for sure what was happening couldn't be fake. Focusing on Childe still being held in his arms a sweet smile appeared on his face as any worry melted away. Without warning childe burried his head into the crevice between your knock and shoulders giddying as you felt his smile on your skin. Just the feeling of his smile grew a smile onto yours.
    "Y/n, you aren't. Lying. Right?" If only you knew the answer to that question as you weren't even sure yourself. You loved him, but did you? You didn't expect any confessions this early but you had too answer quickly or Childe could get upset.
     "I'm not lying, Childe. I love you" growing a smile on your face Childes grip tightened on your lower waist as he smiled into your shoulder. Your heart skipped beats as Childe still hugged you with his rough arms rapped around you as you both stood in the night sky as the sun had set. Lifting your arms you wrapped your arms around neck tightening your grip as you hugged him back placing your head on his shoulder leaning your head against his head. No thoughts ran through your head as you wished this moment too last decades. Your chest against Childe and arms wrapped around each other, giving one another warmth on the cold beach.
        "Y/n, I think we should go back home now. It's getting dark." Childe lifted his head leaving the nape of your neck while still holding onto your waist giving a light smile. Nodding Childe took his hands off your waist and grabbing your hand as they automatically intertwined with each other as you walked back too your area of the beach. Letting go off each other Childe picked up his belongings holding them in one arm as you folded the blanket and placed it in the bag with the unfinished boxes of food. Intertwining your fingers back together childe led you both to Inazuma city as you passed closed shops. Knowing you weren't going to the direction of your house you still trusted Childes lead too wherever he was walking you. Walking down streets you spotted the familiar mansion that was owned by Childe in the distance appearing closer and closer as Childe dragged you along.
      "Hun, do you mind staying here for the night? It's getting dark and I don't want you too walk home alone." Opening the front door you walked in after Childe slipping of your shoes and placing you bag on a nearby table.
       "On no, I'm fine with staying here. I trust you anyways, it's not like you're gonna do anything!" Following behind Childe like a puppy you followed him upstairs too a familiar room that you stayed in.
       "We'll since you don't mind get comfortable here, if you want I can take you too the hot springs too bathe if you want? I can also give you some spare  clothing too sleep in as I don't want you too sleep in your day clothing." Nodding you kept following Childe
        "Sure I should probably bathe since I did walk in sand at the beach." Smiling Childe smiled back grabbing two towels from a cabinet in his room with clothing on top.
       "We'll if it's not too much too ask." Turning around a devilish smile appeared on face "do you mind if I join?!"
