As the years passed, I hadn't scene Ennis and our time apart made me miss him. These uncontrollable emotions that I had towards him only grew...and I found it hard to let go. Good news is me and Lureen were blessed with a beautiful baby boy and I couldn't wait to be a father. Her daddy never liked me much though but, I could stand the old geezer.
My lifes been somewhat good to me and Lureen even got into business to help support the family. I was thinkin about if Joe was hiring again, so I deove up there to find out. It'd been a while since I had been here last but, it certainly hadn't changed. I walked in with only a dimly lit light hangin above my head and what appeared to be Joe lookin through paperwork at his desk.
I took off my hat and said hello just as I had four years ago. (Me) "uh, hi Joe um, I was wondering if you need work up at brokeback again?". (Joe) " I don't need you workin for me anymore". I was a bit shocked by his response but thought maybe because of me and Ennis's huge mess up a few years back.
I turned to leave but, stopped to ask somethin. (Me) "E..Ennis del mar hasn't been around here lately has he?". Joe then took off his glasses and looked me straight in the eyes. (Joe) "you boys sure found a way to make the time pass up there. I didn't hire you so, you could let the dogs babysit the sheep while you stem the roses. Get the hell out of my office". I was completely taken aback by what he said. Somehow Joe had found out about me and Ennis and now my employment with him has afficialy ended.
