Ennis (pov)
At first it was frequent almost every week but, now it's once or twice amonth "maybe". I know it hurt Jack when I told him I couldn't make it. He didn't show or say it but you could tell the way he acted, trying to be the tough guy. I had no clue what he'd been up to and I was hoppin from job to job never stickin to a decent one.
It had gotten so bad that at one point we'd see each other only once every year! And when we did meet, we'd argue over the situation ruining what we had planned out for. But during our usual nights when we'd sit around and rethink what could've, should've, might've been, Jack said somethin that stopped my thoughts. (Jack) "Sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it". I sat there relaying what he said. (Ennis) "sometimes when you can't fix it, you gotta stand it". Jack didn't respond to what I said and others silent for the rest of the night.
