And that's how it was for a time. Any chance I'd get, I'd slip out to go meet Jack somewhere. Our meeting spot was the same after a while because Jack thought it best to stay as isolated as possible so no one would find us.
At that point it didn't matter to me, as long as I got to see him. It's not like it was once every few weeks, that I'd get to see, it was frequent but I couldn't help it. The thought of Alma and my two little girls never left my thoughts though. It hurt me knowing that I'd been doing her wrong for a time but this thing between me and Jack was overwhelming. I didn't know how to fix it and in the end, only did what I was always taught to do. Stand it.

Unfortunately though, one night I had a what you could've called a slight opportunity. Me and Alma were in bed that night till she mentioned that she makes little money already with the grocery store job and that I didn't make much at all with the odd jobs I had from time 't time.
Than she pleaded to use rubbers (condoms) to avoid getting pregnant again but I refused. Said that I'd be happy to leave her alone if she didn't want anymore of my kids. She then said under her breath, " I'd have 'm if you'd support 'm. And with that I laid back in bed any turned over to sleep not saying another word to Alma.
