Ennis (pov)
I spent most of my time with my wife Alma and our two little girls. That's really all I wanted at the time, yet the memories I had of Jack weren't enough to sustain this hunger inside of me.I hadn't scene him since we last said goodbye at Joes place and its been really bugging me. He never wrote to me, nor made an effort to come and see me. I often wondered what he was doin. If he even remembered what happened between us, or did he push it aside as a one time thing like I had called it then.
These thoughts clowded my mind til' one day, while I was home, Alma mentioned to me a postcard that had came in the mail. (Alma) "hey, Ennis, do you know a guy named Jack Twist". I grabbed the postcard from her and walked into our small livin room to look closer at it.(me) "we was fishin buddies. I worked with him up in the mountains that one summer". It had said that he planned on visitin soon and that he wanted to fish some time up at Brokeback again.
I headed over to the post office plannin to reply in a hurry. I didn't need to say much at all only "you bet". I sent that back and as I did, a strong heated feeling came over me.
I'd finally get to see Jack again....
