"Where is Jimin?" Inna asked, looking around. "It's almost nine and he should be here by now. Appa's going to be home any minute..."

I looked at the clock. It was 8:50. Where was Jimin? He usually wasn't like this...

Arin came into the room and looked around.

"What happened?"

"Jimin's not home yet. I don't know where he is," I said.

"Jimin?" Arin asked. "He's at—"

Just then the door opened and then slammed again. Jimin came into the kitchen with a bloody nose and a large cut on his arm.

"JIMIN!" I yelled.

"What happened?" Inna asked, running to him.

"Nothing," he muttered.

"Did you get into fight?" I asked angrily.

Jimin didn't answer.

"I asked if you got into a fight."

He didn't answer. He didn't look like he was going to answer.

"No. It was basketball."

I turned slowly to Arin. "What did you say?"

"Basketball. He was playing basketball," she said again. "You may not know this but TaeDo high school has a reputation for basketball."

Basketball?

......

Basketball?!

"You got hurt from basketball?" I asked meekly.

Jimin nodded.

So all these times he came home...he got hurt from basketball?! How could someone look like this from basketball?!

"You got hurt from basketball? What did you do?! Did you trip over the ball?" Inna asked, looking at Jimin.

"Noona!" Jimin yelled. "Don't make fun of it. It hurts..."

I didn't really believe it. Basketball was just a game. Jimin always came home looking like he got beat up by ten guys.

"Hello?" I asked, picking up the phone.

"Jieun! It was amazing!" Hyeri yelled over the phone.

"What is?"

"Basketball! I was there tonight. They played basketball. It was really great. You have to see it."

"Basketball!?!?" I asked into the phone.

"Yes! Jimin was playing against Sunoo's team! It was such a close game! The players were so fast and so good. You missed it!"

"Hyeri ya...I have to go...I'll talk to you later," I said and then hung up. "Jimin...you really went to play basketball?"

"Who is that?" Jimin asked, looking at me.

"Hyeri. She said she saw you."

"So?"

...

"Why don't you ever invite me?"

...

"You never watch basketball."

"What about me?" Inna asked, smacking Jimin over the head. "I'm the oldest. I didn't even know you played basketball."

"OW! Noona! Stop hitting me!" Jimin yelled, rubbing his head.
