CHAPTER NINE: Practice

“Alexia! Wake up! We need to go!” I woke up to the voice of Coleen waking me up.

“Urgh,” I groaned rolling on my other side putting my pillow over my head “What time is it?”

“7 a.m” and at that I sat up wide awake “I’m awake.” I said

“Good, now go get your shower.” She said as Laila came out of the bathroom, I got my things and took my shower, after that the three of us headed to the Great Hall. We took our usual seats and started to eat, I searched around for James and Scorpius while I did.

“So did you finish you essay last night?” Asked Michelle

“Huh? Oh yeah, I did.” I said, I forgot about that but I really did finish it, I was still looking very sleepy.

“Urgh, I just guessed what I wrote when I was about to finish last night.” Said Coleen “I think I’ll get a T on this one.”

As we were talking about the essay, Scorpius and James came in the hall and sat next to me.

“Morning James,” I said looking at James “Morning Scorpius.” I said looking at Scorpius, they both looked very tired, so did I.

“Morning Alexia.” James yawned and sat next to me

“Good morning.” Scorpius said sitting next to James in a really tired tone.

“You guys look tired.” Said Michelle

“Yeah, er, a lot of homework last night.” Said James, starting to eat “That ten page essay alone was a lot of work. I’m still a good three pages short.” he said tiredly

“Did you finish your essay Scorpius?” I asked

“Yep, did it after dinner, it wasn’t that hard, the book was complete, it gave me five pages then there were the notes I took in class which gave me five more and poof, I finished it.”Said Scorpius eating, he was quite tired.

“Why didn’t you help me?” asked James

“You didn’t ask.” Said Scorpius and James snorted

“Wow you seem like you’re really good at potions Scorpius.” Said Laila in her dreamy voice

“Er, not really,” said Scorpius who was trying to hide his face now “but thanks anyway.”

James and I laughed to ourselves, Scorpius was beet red. After breakfast we headed for our classes.

“You seem really good at potions Scorpius,” James mimicked Laila as the three of us were heading to the lake for free period “No not really.” James mimicked Scorpius this time.

“Shut up James.” Scorpius said blushing

“Oh Scorpius, Scorpius, Scorpius.” James said shaking his head “Just admit it.”

“Admit what?”

“That you fancy her.” Said James stopping.

“I do not fancy her!” Scorpius defended

“Yeah you do.”

I rolled my eyes as the two argued. As we passed by a corridor, we saw Laila sitting by a window, well at least I did Scorpius and James were busy annoying each other.

“Hey Alexia.” She greeted

“Hey Laila,” I said waving, I saw that she was studying she seemed to have a hard time I approached her while James and Scorpius just stopped and continued arguing. “What are you studying?”
