CHAPTER SIXTEEN: How to get Detention

ALEXIA P.O.V

Time flew and by then December came, a lot has changed by now, I became closer with my roommates and Scorpius and James have had numerous detentions by now, that I theorize that they already have their own file cabinet at Filch’s office. Of course I’ve had my detentions; I’ve got one the other night because I accidentally hexed Mrs. Norris (Filch’s cat) but really! It was an accident, I was on my way to the Great Hall alone since James and Scorpius were having detention, then out of nowhere that cat came and I well hit it with a stunning spell Filch wasn’t very happy, but Peeves was. And because of that I had to serve detention, I was with James and Scorpius though.

There were a lot of changes but none in the issue of Rodophus Lestrange, he still hasn’t been caught or sighted ever since that night he escaped, though we have our theories,

“I really think he’s involved,” said James as we were sitting under our usual tree by the lake, it was snowing but we still loved it there.

“I want to agree but we have no proof,” said Scorpius, this was about dear old Professor Carrow, James thinks he’s got something to do with Rodolphus Lestrange, I agree with him but like what Scorpius said we have no proof

“Scorpius is right James,” I said sighing “though we have one.”

They both looked at me,

“Remember that night we had detention with Carrow?” I said trying to make them recall “that night he was talking with someone but when we came out he was alone?”

“Oh yeah,” said James

Scorpius seemed to deliberate “Yes that conversation we overheard was quite peculiar, I still wonder who it was talking to that night.”

“He was alone remember?” I said

“Maybe the person he was talking to was under an invisibility cloak or something.” Said James “My dad has one, but I wasn’t able to nick it I only got the map.”

“Maybe,” said Scorpius shrugging “but we should have seen a name on the map right?”

“We didn’t have the map at that time.” I said

“No what I meant was,” said Scorpius he was getting on to something obviously “we heard Carrow talk to that invisible person thrice, the third and last time that time when Zabini was flirting with you at D.A.D.A and the three of us hexed him and Carrow gave us detention that night and we heard him talking again when we were about to go there.

“That night we went to research and used the map to see if there we prefects around or Filch or teachers, and we didn’t see any different names, it means that; that person Carrow is contacting is outside the castle.”

I didn’t know what to say, so did James we were both speechless, I turned to James and he nodded

“You’re right mate, the map never lies we should have seen a different name.” said James

“Scorpius you’re a genius!” I exclaimed hugging him, I broke away and Scorpius continued

“Now,” he said “when did we last hear him? What day was that? And what is he using to contact that person and who is he contacting?”
