CHAPTER FIFTEEN: A Yule Ball Crisis

ALEXIA P.O.V

Not much had changed except for the part of our practice, research and some detentions, we occasionally still overheard Carrow at times though it only happened to count twice or thrice. It was already November and the bulletin board at the Gryffindor Common Room, posted something about the Yule Ball, so the fourth years were being ecstatic, not that I would care I can’t go I’m a first year. The boys in our higher years were already trying to get dates,

As I was heading to the lake and to sit at our usual tree to wait for James and Scorpius (yes as usual they have detention and it’s a Saturday) I saw Teddy by a window, staring at a girl obviously

“Hey Teddy,” I said stopping beside him

“Oh hi Alexia,” he said nervously, why was he nervous?

“What’s up?” I asked, I looked to where he was staring and saw by the lake a girl, she was really beautiful, she had waist length red hair, and blue eyes. She had an air of grace to her. “Oh, so why don’t you ask her to the Yule Ball then?”

Then Teddy pointed at the girl’s direction again, I looked and saw a boy already asking her, I looked back at Teddy and he looked away, poor Teddy.

“That’s alright Teddy,” I said comforting him “you could always ask somebody else.”

Teddy looked up and smiled at me weakly “You’re right Alexia,” he said “problem is, almost every girl has already been asked…”

“Hmm,” I said, he could take someone from a lower year right? “Well, you could take me? If you have no other choice that is.”

Teddy smiled again “Of course!” he smiled “Why didn’t I think of that.”

“You don’t have to you know Teddy,” I said “Maybe you don’t really-“

“Are you kidding me?” said Teddy beaming at me “It was so hard asking other girls when I could always take you!”

We both laughed

“Fine then its settled then,” I said “I’ll owl Aunt Andromeda to send me some nice dress robes.”

He ruffled my hair “Thanks Alexia, I owe you one.”

I smiled and nodded, and Teddy walked away.

JAMES P.O.V

“I’m proud of you James,” said Scorpius I looked at him as if to say ‘What the hell?’

“And why might I ask?” I said as we walked heading for the lake, we were meeting with Alexia there. As usual we had detention

“You didn’t hex Zabini the whole time we were in detention.” Said Scorpius

Oh yeah, I forgot about that

“Oh that…” I said “Well, I was tired.”

Scorpius shook his head, and I rolled my eyes as we continued on walking as we got to the lake I saw my cousin Victoire, she was alone sitting by the lake.

“Wait,” I said and both Scorpius and I stopped

“Why?” asked Scorpius

“That’s my cousin Victoire,” I said pointing in her direction “c’mon.”

And we both ran towards her

“Victoire!” I said getting nearer, Victoire looked up and turned around, and she saw me and smiled

“James,” she said softly

“What’s up?” I asked “you seem so glum.”

She smiled weakly and I sat next to her, Scorpius did too

“Oh yeah, this is my friend Scorpius,” I said introducing Scorpius “Scorpius this is my cousin Victoire.”

“Nice to meet you.” Said Victoire

“Nice to meet you too,” replied Scorpius

“So, why the sad face?” I asked again, and Victoire looked out the lake

“Nothing,” she said “it was just about the Yule Ball I suppose.”

“Why? Nobody’s asked you?”

“No but the person I want to ask me isn’t asking me yet.” She said sadly

“Oh,” I said “then just wait.”

“Nope, I heard he already has a date, I even bumped him earlier I asked him if it was true and he said yeah he already has a date, so I went back here.”

“Well, don’t be so down Victoire,” I said trying to cheer her up “there are many boys out there dying to ask you.”

“But I don’t like any of them.” She said sadly

“Well,” I said “you can always take me.”

Victoire looked up and smiled at me “Hmm, you wouldn’t mind?”

“I wouldn’t,” I said “you could take Scorpius and me.”

“I think it would be better if it would just be the two of you,” said Scorpius “it would be awkward if there were two of us.” I nodded and looked back at Victoire

“What do you say?” I asked her

And she nodded “Thanks James.”

“Any time.” I said and Scorpius and I both stood up and headed for our usual spot where Alexia would be waiting for us.

A/N: I know guys not my best >.< This chapter by far is the worst for me sorry, I'm so so so sorry >.< I've been in a middle of a writer's block, but I'll make sure the next chapter will cover this one up, once again I'm sorry :(
