Chapter Eleven: Break Out
I looked up at McGonagall immediately I didn’t know what to say, she knew? How? I hope, no I pray that she won’t tell anyone. Oh Merlin…
“What about my identity Professor?” I asked in a quiet voice, I wasn’t looking at her now I was looking down again.
“I know the truth Ms. Tonks,” she started “And we must not be ashamed of the truth.”
I just nodded softly I was about to ask why she was talking to me about it but she beat me to it
“Now I know you are wondering why I summoned you here about it.” I just nodded again,
“Well you have the right to know,” I looked up at McGonagall now as she talked “There has been a breakout in Azkaban Prison.” My eyes widened in shock how? No one has ever broken out of Azkaban well, my mother did once and so did other Death Eaters. That didn’t matter the big question was WHO?
“But why didn’t they publish it in the Daily Prophet Professor?” I asked
“We stopped the publishing of the Prophet coming her into school for a while, we don’t want anybody alarmed but we will spread the word tonight and let the prophet back in too,” McGonagall explained “We just wanted you the first to know,”
“Why Professor?”
“Because,” McGonagall took a deep breath “you might be a target.”
I had a bad feeling in my stomach and a theory who it was in mind but prayed that I was wrong
“Who is it professor?” I asked softly
McGonagall took another deep breath
“Rodolphus Lestrange.”
I felt the color in my face go away

My father….
“Since when Professor?” I asked my voice cracking
“Last night,” she said “no one knows how he escaped the Ministry’s been on full alert since last night, now Ms. Tonks I don’t want to see you lingering around the castle alone, though I have observed you have Malfoy and Potter by your side, but still I do not want you to go out and about the castle often and do not stay out after hours.” Oh great what about the research? How will I explain to Scorpius and James that we can’t anymore? I could tell them McGonagall told me not to, but then that would lead to telling my true identity, Merlin this is hard.
