A/n: Hello everybody! Today is November 13, 2021. Here I am, updating from the bottom of life. I swear, if I got into everything I'd sound like a top-tier AO3 author. If you know what that means, you know. They always wildin' for no reason.
Loki, Y/n, and Sylvie all stand at the door of the grand, wispy castle, watching the fluid tube of the timeline streak past the floating island. "Aren't you gonna tell me not to kick the door in?" Sylvie asks, glancing at their parents.
"Well, it never made a difference," Loki shrugs.
"Well, if you think it's a bad idea, I prefer you to speak your mind," Sylvie whines.
"No. Nothing to say," he says, rocking on his feet.
"That'll be a first," Y/n sighs, rolling her eyes.
Sylvie shifts their weight back, looking as if they are preparing to kick it in, but they hesitate, clearing their throat. "Everything okay?" Y/n asks, placing a hand on their shoulder.
"Yeah. Just need a moment," Sylvie says, taking a deep breath.
"Right. It's just, you normally..." Loki trails off awkardly, trying to think of what to say.
Y/n glares at him. "Loki, love, shut up."
"I was pruned at my prime. I have been waiting for this moment my entire life. I just need a second to get my head straight, okay?" Sylvie snaps.
"Sure. Of course," Loki winces, folding his hands behind his back and stepping away. Y/n gives him a comforting kiss on the cheek. Before any of them can take a crack at the door, they creak open. to reveal a massive entry, carved from the same black and gold marble.
They walk through slowly, and when the doors shut behind them, they pause, all staring at each other. The stretch of hallway in front of them seems to extend forever, seemingly disappearing at the horizon point.
Right as the step into the center of the massive gold clock in the center of the floor, a beautiful woman appears in front of them. They have black hair, warm amber eyes, sweet pink lips, and are dressed like they stepped out of a Paramore music video. "Hey, y'all!" They exclaim with a giggle. Everyone draws their weapons, a mass of sharp objects pointed at their throat. "Ooh, kinky~!"
"Anna?!" Y/n exclaims.
"Welcome to The Citadel at the End of Time," Anna says with a smile, walking along. "Come on," they beckon. "Congratulations. Y'all had an awfully long journey to get here. She's impressed."
"Who's impressed?" Y/n asks, glancing at Loki.
"She Who Remains," Anna says matter of factly.
"And who is she?" Loki asks, growing tired of her games.
"She created all and she controls all. At the end, it is only She Who Remains. And she wants to offer you a deal," Anna explains, turning back to them. "She's been making a few creative adjustments, and she's worked it out so we can reinsert both of y'all back into the Timeline in a way that won't disrupt things."
"'Won't disrupt things'?" Y/n asks dubiously, using air quotes sarcastically.
"Mmm-hmm. She can keep spinning out time and y'all can live the lives you've always wanted," they exclaim.
"And what have we always wanted?" Loki asks, growing suspicious.
Anna frowns. "Now, don't play coy with me, mister. You know how you got into this mess."
"What?" Y/n scoffs.
"The Battle of New York, silly! You versus those self-righteous Avengers. How would you like to win?" Anna asks with a smirk, a holographic image of Loki and Y/n seated on a throne together flickering beside their head. "But not just there. You can avoid Thanos. You want the Infinity Gauntlet? Yours." An image of Y/n brandishing Thanos' head flickers over. "Throne of Asgard? No problem." Loki and Y/n are seated on the throne together, peering down their noses at their subjects.
