A/n: Hello everybody! Today is October 23, 2021. I think having weekly updates on the weekends is probably going to be the most efficient way of updating for me. I'm getting through midterms and entering in writing contests and working again and-gah, it's a lot!

Waking up in Loki's arms was like a dream come true.

To feel his sturdy body below Y/n, arms slung around her as their chests rise and fall in a slow synchrony.

But to roll over, see a large black cloud trying to eat you, and a bunch of photocopied faces staring back at you isn't a great thing to pair with it.

Bolting straight up, Y/n leans over Loki, shaking him away. "Loki. Loki! Darling, wake up!"

"W-What? Y/n? What are you doing here?"

"Saving your arse. Get up!"

"What is this place? Where are we?" He looks over Y/n's shoulder. "Who are they?"

A small boy with a horned symbol on his headpiece steps forward. "This is the Void. That's Alioth. And we are his lunch! Come on!"

The couple scampers to their feet, following the group. There's an old man with tall horns and neon gold and green spandez, a warmly bundled darker skinned man holding...Mjolnir (?), and a small child, maybe 14, holding a crocodile with a little helmet.

"I suggest we take a breather, so I can ask several thousand questions," Loki says, pausing.

"Gotta keep moving so we don't die," the kid shrugs.

"Okay, but what's your plan?" Y/n asks.

"Don't die."

"Okay, but beyond that?"

"Don't die."

"That's not a plan. It's a general demand of living. If you're Lokis, you should always have..." a sqauwking flock of birds looking like a cross between a pterodactyl and a porg fly past the group, causing Loki to halt his speech. "Will someone please explain to me what the hell is going on?!"

Silence.

"Look, it's been a very, very, very trying past few days. All I know is, Loki got pruned, I pruned myself and I woke up here, and now I'm surrounded by Variants of him, plus an alligator, which sadly I didn't find all that strange! And now we're running from God knows what to God knows where, when I need to be trying to find a way back to the TVA and back to my daughter," Y/n vents, gesturing wildly around her as steam practically pours out of her ears.

The kid runs up to her, pulling her down and smacking a hand over her mouth. "Stop wailing or you will signal Alioth."

"You mean the monster in the sky?" Loki asks. Everyone nods in response.

"This is the place where the TVA dumps its rubbish, everything they prune. And Alioth, he ensures none of it ever returns," Kid explains.

"It's a living tempest that consumes matter and energy. They send entire branched realities here that are devoured instant... We're in a shark tank. Alioth is the shark," Boastful says, pointing to the turmoiling cloud.

The crocodile- Croki- growls at them. Old Loki, or, excuse me, "classic" huffs. "Oh, there's no such thing as an alligator tank. Besides, it's a better metaphor." He looks up and smiles kindly at Y/n. "He's overly sensitive like the rest of us."

She pauses, glancing at the crocodile. "Hang on, that thing's a Loki too?"

"Oh, yes, dear."

"Okay, fine. Willing to accept that," Y/n winces. Classic unexpectadly shoves Croki into her arms, letting the crocodile get comfortable against her chest.
